CHAPTER ONE

s3 episode 15

IF JORDYN JENSON WAS nervous about starting her new job, you would have never guessed. The brunette doctor walked through the doors of Seattle Grace with the confidence of an attending. 'Never let them see you sweat,' she could hear her mother's motto ringing through her ears.

Jordyn was instructed to meet Chief Webber beside the main entrance nurse's station, where she saw a man who suspiciously looked way less gray than when she met him for her interview.

"Excuse me? Chief Webber?" She asked, walking up to the man cautiously incase it wasn't him.

"Ah, Dr. Jenson, welcome to Seattle Grace." He stated, giving his full attention to the young doctor approaching him.

"Not that I mind, Chief, but why am I getting the honor of you showing me around?" She let out a little laugh, surely he would have sent another intern, she thought to herself.

The older doctor looked caught off guard for a moment, perhaps by her bluntness, but the girl was never one for a filter.

The Chief cleared his throat awkwardly, "Well, uh, truthfully I knew your mother and just felt it best if I showed you around."

Ah, he wants me to like this place.

"Respectfully, Chief, this is where I want to be, so please don't feel like you have to give me special treatment." The girl answered, hiking her bag further up her shoulder.

"All right then, I think you'll fit in just fine. Walk with me Jenson."

With those final words the pair made their way to the elevator, where they were met with a red-haired doctor, reading a magazine in the back.

"Addison, this is our new intern, Jordyn Jenson, she transferred from New York." Webber introduced, before turning back towards the door.

Addison lowered her magazine curiously, looking at the new doctor, "New York? From North Shore?" she asked, wondering about the girl from her old home.

"Presbyterian actually," Jordyn answered with a smile, "It was bigger therefore more interesting surgeries."

Addison nodded before going back to her reading, as Jordyn turned toward the front again.
