𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐍 ship descended closer to the Earth every second. The Lanterns flew closer as Batman followed behind in his plane.
"Deploying camera sensor units," He stated as he pressed a button on the console. They recorded the events as the Lanterns made it to the ship.
"Attention. You have entered the boundaries of Earth space," John Stewart explained to the aliens. "Disengage all weapons and engines. This is your final warning."
The ship's blaster charged up as it blasted John and Hal. They attempted to shield themselves with their rings, but the shields were destroyed and the two completely disintegrated.
"Code red. Full offensive deploy." Batman opened the planes hold as Superman, Captain Marvel, Captain Atom, and Martian Manhunter flew towards the ship. The beam split apart, disintegrating Superman and Manhunter, then Marvel and Atom.
One of blasts hit the plane, but Batman quickly ejected out with a small pod. One of the smaller crafts made it's way to the pod and destroyed it.
𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟔, 𝟏𝟔:𝟎𝟏 𝐞𝐝𝐭
The team and Tornado watched as an incoming transmission from Zatara came in.
"Tornado, did you-"
"Yes, Zatara, we saw. Celestial defenses have failed. Initiate all terrestrial measures," Tornado ordered.
"Affirmative. See you in the field." Zatara ended the transmission as Red turned to the team.
"I must join the League. We will protect the planet at all costs. But should we fail, the responsibility is to you." Lily took a deep, nervous breath at his words.
"We stand ready," Aqualad replied confidently. As tornado left the cave, the team pulled up the news to see what was going on.
Nearly all of them were gone. Flash, Zatara, Black Canary, Green Arrow, the Hawks, everyone. They switched the feed again to Wonder Woman and Tornado's battle. Wonder Woman threw a plane with her lasso, sending it crashing into another one.
"Wonder Woman, above you." She attempted to block the blast with her braclets, but it was too much. She was gone too.
"Red Tornado to cave. I fear I am all that remains of the League."
"RT!" Robin tried to warn him, but Tornado was blasted. The entire League was gone.
"We are Earth's heroes now," Aqualad acknowledged.
"So, what are we waiting for, a theme song?" Superboy asked him with frustration.
"A strategy. Earth's weapons are ineffective. And it has been made tragically clear a direct attack will not succeed," Aqualad explained.
