𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐌𝐀𝐍 𝐃𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐃 into the dark greenhouse on the roof with Robin and Lily falling in behind him. He motioned them to search the area for Poison Ivy, who had been the most recent suspect in a series of murders involving poison and whole lot of plants. Now they were here investigating her current hideout.
Lily dragged a hand across a table with some empty beakers and glass vials, taking notice that her mother clearly had been making something before she left. When she looked closer inside the vial she noticed there was still a trace of the component left inside.
She grabbed a top to the vial and put it on, about to give it to Batman until something caught her eye from the ground. She picked up a piece of paper, but when she looked closer she noticed a photograph of three people. Had she taken a hostage?
No. It was a family. But it wasn't just a mother in the photo. It was hers. And it must have been Lily the man was holding. Her father. She'd never actually seen a picture of him before. So why was it here on the ground of a clearly abandoned hideout? Had she dropped it in a rush to get out?
Lily decided to question the photo later and instead brought the vial to Batman. He nodded before putting it into his utility belt. Robin came over with a shake of the head, indicating he hadn't found anything.
"Ivy has clearly abandoned the place. Her plants are already starting to wilt. Except for the places you've been." Batman directed his gaze towards Lily.
"What? I can't help it. It just happens," she defended.
"It's fine. Just an observation. But we have something to hopefully figure out more about what she was up to other than murdering rich men in the dead of night," Batman said before he grappled off.
"Is there really more or is he just being paranoid?" Robin questioned Lily with a slightly doubtful look.
"With my mom? Oh, there's definitely something more," Lily replied before following after Batman.
When they got back to the Batcave, Lily was quick to take the compound and analyze it. She really just wanted to get this over with so she could look into the photo more.
"It's a chemical compound with a strong level of water solubility. If I had to guess she's probably going to poison Gotham's water supply. It's not the first time she's tried," Lily explained before allowing Batman to have a look.
