Tiffany closed the door behind her and kicked off her shoes with a tired sigh.

She's exhausted after a busy day and is looking forward to crawling into bed with you.

She rubbed her tired eyes as she went into the kitchen to grab a bottle of water before she made sure that the front door was locked.

She turned on the lights that you left on for her and made her way upstairs to your shared room.

She tiptoed inside since it was late and she knew you were asleep by now.

To her surprise, one of the lamps in the room was still on and it gave her enough light to see your face.

You were asleep on your side, facing her.

Your eyes were closed as soft breaths left your lips and she couldn't help but smile upon seeing how peaceful you looked.

She walked over to your side of the bed and that's when she noticed what you had in your arms.

You were cuddling with the stuffed elephant she'd gotten you on your third date at a carnival.

You cherish it so much and Tiffany knows you've kept it, even after all this time.

But to see you cuddling with it as you sleep just made her heart melt.

"I just love you so much." She whispered as she kissed your forehead lovingly.

Your eyes opened when you felt her lips brush against your skin and you smiled right away.

"Hi." She grinned.

"Hi, baby. I missed you today." You said as you reached for her hand.

"I missed you too." She smiled. "I see you decided to cuddle with your elephant?"

You looked at the stuffed elephant and then at her with a smile.

"I didn't know when you'd be home and I wanted to cuddle with something as I slept. This was the next best thing. It means a lot to me because it's from you."

She leaned in and gave you a soft kiss.

"You're just so sweet." She said before kissing you again.

"Are you going to cuddle me?"

"Yes, in a minute. Let me just change into my pajamas real quick."

You nodded and kissed her once more before you watched as she got changed.

"One second." She smiled before going into the bathroom to brush her teeth and take her makeup off.

When she was done, she turned off the bathroom light and saw you lying in bed with your arms open.

"Cuddle me."

"Okay, sweet girl." She chuckled.

She laid down beside you and covered up before you threw your arms around her and placed your head on her shoulder.

"Did you have a good day today?"

"Yeah, it was great." She said as she began to play with your hair. "But coming home to you is the best part of it all."

You kissed her a couple more times before she turned off the lamp.

And even though she was cuddling you now, you still kept your stuffed elephant on your other side as you drifted off to sleep, warm and happy in her embrace.
