Week 1, Thursday

Ayano froze. Raibaru was right on the money. How could she bullshit her way out of this...  Before Ayano could say anything, however, Raibaru continued talking, "all this time, you've been trying to help me get Osana... Are you only helping me just so you can have Taro to yourself!?" Ayano could feel a bead of sweat rolling down the back of her neck and into her uniform. It was uncomfortable, but not as uncomfortable as the situation as she was in.

"I... I don't..." Ayano tried to answer. Thank goodness for a random scream that pierced through the entire school.

"Hanako!" Raibaru gasped. Ah, that must be the owner of the scream. Oh shit, what happened to Hanako?

The two girls kept their conversation on hold and ran to where the scream came from. They ended up at the 1-1 classroom where Hanako was surrounded by a group of girls, all of whom were screaming. Gently nudging their way into the mess of students, the second years found Hanako still wrapped in her sleeping bag, starting to froth at the mouth. Raibaru staggered backwards in shock while Ayano rushed forth to scoop up the first year who was starting to turn purple in the face.

A harsh hiss resonated in the room as the culprit made itself known; a small but capable little snake around Hanako's neck. "I don't suppose any of you have sulfur?" Ayano asked the people in the room and was met with silence. "Right, thought so." Of course, who would be randomly carrying sulfur around?

With the choking first year in her arms, Ayano made a beeline for the infirmary. At the door of Class 1-1, Hanakõ appeared. One look at his sister in Ayano's arms and he forgot what he was about to say. Raibaru quickly got her bearings and joined the two students to take Hanako to the infirmary.

---
At the infirmary, Hanako was sat on one of the beds and the nurse nearly fainted. "I'm afraid I can't do anything with the snake still on her," the nurse confessed, keeping a distance from the snake that was making itself comfortable around Hanako's neck. They needed to remove the snake, but it would be too risky. Ayano contemplated just grabbing the snake by it's head, fingers clamming the jaw shut since it was a rather small snake, but that might anger the snake and make it wrap itself tighter around the girl's neck.

"What if I just..." Raibaru started as she moved her hand towards the snake, about to perform the move Ayano was thinking of. The reptile hissed sharply at the blonde and coiled tighter. Raibaru quickly retracted her hand in shock. Hanako was losing consciousness and hardly breathing. The panicking nurse and the second years were at a loss of what to do. Behind them, Hanakõ was watching the drama. The snake had worked a little better than he had thought.

Looking at his sister's suffocating form, Hanakõ bit back his smirk. While they were fussing over her, he had to get his story straight first. He definitely wasn't expecting to have picked up that venomous of a snake, but things happen. Originally, Hanako was just supposed to feel the scaley body and freak out, but she was such a deep sleeper that when Hanakõ dropped the reptile in her sleeping bag when everyone else was asleep, his sister didn't even stir. It was her own fault for not waking up.

In the sleeping bag, the snake just cuddled up against Hanako's warm body, not attacking or anything, so Hanakõ assumed it was safe to let things be. If Hanako got hurt, it'd be on her for still being asleep. Who knew that the next morning, the snake had not only found its was around Hanakõ's neck, but had bitten her as well. The incisions of the fangs were around her collarbone and could sometimes be hidden by the snake's own body as it moved around the teen's neck.

Gosh, Hanako's really careless. Who doesn't notice a snake in their sleeping bag? Honestly, she brought this on herself, Hanakõ thought, amused at his twin's new shade of purple. Purple really was a pretty colour. Hanakõ had saw a purple sweater the other day and had thought to buy it, but ultimately decided against it due to the price. It would have been nice, though. Maybe he could get another purple thing? It wasn't his favourite colour, but it's pretty neat. As twins, they would normally get matching stuff like mugs or clothes, and since Hanako liked pink, most of those things would be pink as well. Seeing as how he might no longer be a twin, he could probably stop getting so many pink things and mix things up a little with some purple. That many pink things was always too warm for Hanakõ. Unlike his sister, he preferred cooler tones. Ooh, maybe he could even add some blue as well for a galaxy-like theme?
