Danielle's pov

Instead of going directly to homeroom like the other kids, since I was new and starting out in the 4th quarter, I had to go to the office to get my schedule.

I looked through the threshold before I walked in. A lady about my height dressed in a tight black dress and a business coat was sitting by a computer clicking and typing, not even noticing I was standing there. She was basically sucked into her computer doing whatever she was doing.

I walked closer to the desk and made an awkward smile.

She still didn't notice me, so I finally spoke up.

"..uh...excuse me...mam." I stuttered out, feeling uncomfortable talking to teachers.

I noticed her eyes starting to trail up at me, and a big(fake) grin formed on her face.

"Hey there! You must be...." She picked up a binder and flipped through the pages.

"Andrea Stone?" She asked.

"No." I said, politely. She flipped through a few more pages.

"Rachel Hickory?" She looked back up at me.

"No." I tried to make a small fake laugh to make her feel less awkward.

"Oh here we go..." She flipped a few more times. "Danielle Holiday?"

I smiled and nodded.

"Sorry about that." She laughed nervously. I didn't reply.

She went back to her computer and clicked a few things, then the printer behind her started..well y'know...printing.

She picked up the piece of paper and waved it around a few times to dry it, then handed it to me.

"Here's your schedule."

I nodded at her.

"Do you need anyone to show you around?" She asked. The school was pretty big...

"That'd be great." I smiled.

"Have you met any friends yet? I can have them show you around." She offered.

I really wanted to say Wizard boy, or even McPerfect, but I didn't know their real names.

"I do...I just don't know their names." I pouted.

"Well, what do they look like?" Assuming she was bad with names, I automatically gave up, considering what had first happened when I walked in.

"Oh it's okay. I can just have whoever show me." I smiled. After I finished talking someone had walked in.

"Excuse us for one moment." The boy that walked in smirked at me.

He walked over to her and pointed at his schedule. (Instead of AP classes they have advanced and what not.)

"Advanced math?!" He said.

"Yes, you exceeded the honors program last quarter and your teachers and I believe that you can do advanced." The lady said to him.

They talked for a few minutes on schedule changes. I looked at the boy. He was cute, but not wizard boy cute.

He had brown hair and bright blue eyes. You couldn't miss them.

They stopped talking and the boy finally gave up.

"Hey Nash?" The lady said, as the boy stopped.

"Yes Mrs.Meatloaf?" He replied.

'What a sad name for a teacher. No...what a sad name for anybody.' I thought to myself.

"Can you show Danielle where her classes are for the day?"

The boy, or Nash, seemed to have perked up for a second, then walk towards me.

"Hey, cutie." He said, while I laughed at him.

"Really?" I laughed.

"What?!" He said in defense.

"Just show me where 1st period is." I laughed again.

"And I'll walk you to each class, babe." He said in a deep tone.

"Chill."

He looked at my schedule.

"We have 1st,2nd,Lunch, and 6th together, which sadly includes advanced math." He sighed, jokingly.

"What is it with you and.." I tried copying his voice. "Advanced math."

"It's hard." He said.

"It's math." I replied.

"Yeah?" He said sarcastically.

"All math is hard."

"Tell me about it."

We walked to first period together and I hoped wizard boy was there.

I really hoped wizard boy was there.

No,

I really really hoped wizard boy was there.

Something about him caught my attention. He may have been shorter than I was ( :"( ) and even a nerd, but I didn't feel like he was any ordinary nerd.

Nash held the door for me, like the 'kind' boy he was and I walked in to the tiny classroom.
