One month had past, and the cycle of never-ending cases and trials had solely gotten Neuvillette's attention.

He'd gotten a lot better in the last few weeks too. Though he still occasionally receives different gifts and flowers from an anonymous person who he still thinks is his ex, he's eventually going back to his old self.

Today is just like any other day, but instead of working, Neuvillette took a day off as he wanted to rest after so many trials he'd gone through.

He's strolling around the Court of Fontaine, as he thought it was the best thing to do during his day off.

Neuvillette wonders around, window shopping for the possible things that he might like and buy. And when he got tired, he dropped by Café Lucerne and ordered some nice desert and drinks.

While waiting for his order, he sits at one of the empty tables in the corner.

"Here's your takeout, Monsieur Neuvillette." He looked up, stood up, and got his takeout.

"Thank you," he said before leaving.

As he was bracing himself between these Fontaine people swarming back and forth on the busy street of Fontaine, he suddenly heard a loud cry. It was obviously the cry of a child.

Neuvillette was alarmed and stopped as he tried to see where the sound was coming from. He searched and searched until he found it.

In front of the Palais Mermonia, he can clearly see a little girl who wears a white and pink hat, long white stockings, and an elegant dress with a variety of colors, such as green, red, and white.

Neuvillette's eyes widen as she recognizes who it is.

"Please let me in, Mister! Sigewinne wants to see Papa!"

"I'm sorry, kid, but your papa is not here. You should go now."

"But he is there! Papa is inside! Let me in!"

Without a second thought, Neuvillette immediately goes to where Sigewinne is.

"Look, kid, I already told you—M-monsieur Neuvillette," a member of the gardes said upon seeing Neuvillette.

"Ahem, what is happening here?" he asked.

"It wasn't a big issue, Monsieur; it's just that this kid..."

"PAPA!" Sigewinne exclaimed while tears kept flowing from her eyes as she quickly hugged Neuvillette's thighs, which shocked the member of the Gardes.

"Hey kid! Don't do that!"  The member scolded, but he got stopped by Neuvillette himself.

"Please, it's fine. I know who she is," he said. The member of the Gardes hesitate at first, but he eventually nod, and bow before he go back to his post.

Neuvillette look down, and softly patting Sigewinne's head.

"L-little Sigewinne,"  he hesitantly calls, but the little girl was just sobbing on his thighs

Neuvillette sighed and put his take outs down before reaching for Sigewinne and carry her.

As he do this, Sigewinne automatically encircle her arms around Neuvillette's neck and and buried her face there as he quietly sob.

"Does your daddy know that you're here?" He tried to ask again.

Sigewinne shakes her head, "N-no." she said,

"Is that so? Then he must be worried, I'll accompany you to him, is he in your house?"  He asked, but he became confuse when he saw how Sigewinne's expression gradually change.
