Hey guys! Happy Wednesday :3!
Last week you'll remember I said that I was struggling to write the next couple of chapters in the book. I actually managed to complete them both in 2 days so we'll be proceeding with updates as scheduled :)
I've also started on chapter 28 and I've written some of the later chapters as well which is good since I'm really looking forward to writing up part 30 since it's more story focused and delves into Evie's relationships with Katia and Jason. I've also planned 2 scenes where things get a little awkward but Aryia manages to save the day :P
This week though, we're focusing on Levi's 3rd birthday. It's a bit of a rushed chapter but I hope you guys enjoy it nonetheless :3

Chapter Song: Seventh Place - 6 Months to Live
-
"Yay! Paw Patrol!" Levi beamed as soon as he opened Kévin and Eileen's birthday present for him. "Thank you, Uncle Kévin! Thank you, Auntie Eileen!"
"Hey, you're welcome." Eileen said when Levi gave her and Kévin a hug.
Kévin ruffled Levi's hair. "Glad you like 'em, lil buddy."
"And this one's from me and your mom." Aryia said, putting the gift wrapped box we'd bought for him when Aryia's mom had been babysitting
"What is it? What is it?" He asked, jumping up from the couch.
"Open it and find out." I told him.
"I can?"
"Of course, you can, it's your birthday."
"Yay!" He smiled again before kneeling down in front of the box and ripping the paper off.
We had to help him a little bit – or rather I did since Levi had inherited Aryia's struggles with unwrapping presents; something I'd have to keep in mind for later.
"A scooter!" He smiled excitedly once he'd unwrapped it.
"Do you like it?" I asked when he hugged me and then went to his dad to do the same.
"I love it! It's so cool! Thank you!"
"You're welcome." We smiled as I gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Can I bring it to the zoo?"
"Of course you can."
"Yay!"
"Here's where my assembly skills get put to the test." Aryia joked.
"Pretty sure it's a foldable, bro." Kévin pointed out after looking at the box.
"Are you doubting my skills?"
"No." Kévin answered sarcastically, making Eileen and I laugh because it sounded like they were flirting.
"And can I wear my new coat? And my glasses?"
"Of course you can." I said, picking him up. "Now let's get you dressed, Mr."
"Zoo! Zoo! Zoo!" Levi chanted.
...
Once we'd all got ready for the day, we leased up the dogs and piled into Kévin's car. The morning was crisp and fresh so it was the perfect day to take Levi to the zoo for his birthday. I wished that our anniversary had been like this as well, but we couldn't always have nice things; though since I was sure Aryia and I would be together for years to come, it didn't bother me that much – especially with how we'd made up for it later in the evening.
