I awoke to the sunlight shining in my face. I didn't recognize the sheets I was in till I saw the person next to me. Niccolo. I had totally forgotten that I got in his bed last night. All the memories came back to me. I rubbed my head and groaned under my breath. I had and awful headache and the fact that I asked Niccolo to kiss me last night made it even worse. Once my eyes weren't so blurry, I got a better look at him. His hair was messy and his cheeks were a gentle pink. His soft snores filled the room. He looked absolutely adorable. I sat up just a bit and brushed some of his hair out of his face. I admired him like he was a piece of renaissance art. His beauty was unmatched.
I laid back down and stared at him for awhile. My heart jumped as he started to move. He moved closer to me and laid his head on my chest. He muttered something but I couldn't tell what he said. His arms slowly snaked around my waist. He was just clinging on to me now. I couldn't help but smile. He was never this cuddly in public. Usually he was all cocky and tough but now he was hugging me like I was a plushie or something. I saw his phone on his nightstand and leaned over him just a bit to grab it. I opened up his camera and took a picture of us. I made a silly face and messed around. I would use this against him forever. He shifted slightly which made me quickly shut off his phone and slide it under the covers. But he didn't wake up which was good.
We laid there for another thirty minutes then I noticed him waking up. He grunted slightly then I saw his eyes open. He smiled as soon as he saw me.
"Hey. How'd you sleep?" He asked. His sleepy voice was so unbelievably cute and hot at the same time.
"Good morning sleepyhead. I slept good. I have a massive headache though." I told him softly.
He rubbed my back slowly and sighed "I know, I know. You're gonna feel like that for maybe about another hour or two but you'll be fine after." He explained to me.
My muscles relaxed as his hand moved up and down my back. "So I'm guessing we're skipping today?"
"You'd be right." He replied. He closed his eyes and nuzzled closer to me. He looked breathtaking when he was bathed in sunlight like this.
"Do you not want to get out of bed yet?" I asked him, chuckling under my breath.
He shook his head. "Nuh uh." He mumbled to me. His grip became tighter around my waist.
I smiled softly at how he clung to me. I stroked his hair and gazed at him. "Alright." I mumbled to him. I didn't mind staying in bed with him. I actually preferred it. I didn't want to function until my headache was gone.
We both soon fell asleep again.
MONDAY, 8:14 AM, SCHOOL
The weekend passed by with more moments between Niccolo and I. They were perfect. I felt wanted and needed when I was with him. It was refreshing. No one knew about them though. We weren't as affectionate in public. It was our secret.
Niccolo and I walked into school after we took Camilla to her track practice. His shoulder rubbed against mine as we walked. He wouldn't move away. I knew he was looking for Brando. That made me nervous. I knew Niccolo wanted to tear him into pieces even though they used to be best friends. It was all because of me and I hated it. I wish I would've never gone to that stupid party.
My heart stopped as I saw Brando walking down the halls with Vittorio by his side.
"What is Vitto doing with him?" I whispered to Niccolo.
"He knows. He's just staying incase he says anything about you. We have a deal." He answered me nonchalantly. Wow. He really had this all figured out.
I was afraid of what Niccolo would do when we walked past Brando. When we did, I held my breath. But nothing happened. Nothing but Brando gazing at me. It felt like his eyes were undressing me. I looked away then at Niccolo.
"I'll deal with him after school, sweetheart. Have a good day." He said with a smirk on his lips. He cupped my cheek and kissed my forehead before he left to his first hour.

AUTHORS NOTE!! Hey guys...😃I'm sorry I've been gone so long fr😭I got so busy w school and cheer and I was literally drowning in it. But now it's Christmas break and I'm free😝😝 well my break started awhile ago but I've had writers block so yeah😛but I'm so glad to be back!!
