Hide and Seek

I crawled through the play structures as quietly as I could. If this game of hide and seek was something my life was riding on, I would not lose.

Come out, come out, wherever you are! Sun called.

I ignored him and continued to move until I found a car attachment in the structure. I hid inside and looked out the window, hoping to keep tabs on where Sun was.

I couldn't see him.

I suddenly panicked.

Where did he go?

My question was soon answered when a loud thump was heard signaling that Sun had jumped on top of the play structure.

I squeaked in suprise and quickly slapped a hand over my mouth.

Sun chuckled, having obviously heard my squeak.

Y/n, my silly, little, love, are you hiding in the play structures? Sun asked knowingly.

I stayed quiet.

I strained to listen for Sun, but I couldn't hear anything.

I relased a breath I had been holding and slumped over in the car attachment.

I found you! Sun yelled, popping out of seemingly nowhere.

I screamed and scrambled out of the car attachment. My knees burned as I crawled as fast as I could to the slide.

I felt Sun's hand grip my ankle. I screamed, and on instinct, I kicked him.

Sun let go of my ankle with a grunt. I didn't look back. I continued trying to make my escape.

Y/n! You are in big trouble! Sun yelled, his voice glicthing as he roared.

My eyes widened, and I threw myself down the slide. I landed in the ball pit and sighed in relief.

That is until Sun came down the slide as well.

I panicked and tried to find my grip to get out of the ball pit. I kept sinking into the balls the more I struggled. I finally got a grip on the side of the pit.

Before I could lift myself out, I was pulled away from the edge by Sun. He shot out of the pit and pulled me with him.

I cried out and desperately tried to escape. He chuckled, his voice glitching slightly as he held me.

I win! Sun yelled happily and teasingly. No! That's not fair! It doesn't count! Put me down!

Sun gripped me tighter, his voice going darker as he spoke. Don't think I forgot about you being in trouble. He said. What? I asked, my eyes widening and my face draining all its color.

Sun chuckled darkly and ran his fingers through my hair. Oh, Sunshine. You're so forgetful. Sun said mockingly. You kicked me in the face, remember? Sun asked, smiling. I didn't! I immediately protested. I mean, I did. I didn't mean to, I promise! I shouted, fearing another punishment. Oh, but you did mean to, Sunshine. Don't worry. I'm not mad. Sun said. You're not? I asked hesitantly. Nope. I'm not mad at all. Sun said. I'm not mad because I know you are going to take your punishment like a good girl. Right? Sun asked.

Punishment? Sun smirked. Yes, Sunshine. Bad girls need to be punished. He said.

I'm sorry! I didn't mean to! I shouted frantically. Shh. It's okay, love. You can make it up to me. Sun said. How? I asked.

You still owe me my reward. Moon was thinking, and he had a wonderful idea. Do you want to know what it is? Sun asked. Not really. I admitted, shivering at the mention of the person who almost killed me.

Sun ignored me and continued. Moon thinks that you can give me my reward and get punished at the same time. Sun said cheerfully. What do you think? I asked, scared of his awnser. I think he's right. Sun said. I paled. Sun giggled while glitching so hard I was sure he would fall over. Come on, Sunshine. Sun said, moving me around in his arms to where my arms could wrap around his neck.

Without warning, Sun attached a cable to his back, and we shot up into the air.

I screamed and held onto him. Sun laughed, and I closed my eyes tightly, not opening them until I felt something soft supporting my back.

My eyes shot open, and I found myself lying in a bed. Ta da! Sun shouted, giving me jazz hands.

Where are we? I asked. My room. Sun said simply. Do you like it? Sun asked.

I looked around. It was a small room. It looked to be divided into very different styles. The bed was in the middle of the room and had baby blue sheets. It had several different plushies and pillows on it. One half of the room was painted blue with big fluffy white clouds. The other half was painted to look like the night sky. There were glow stars on the ceiling. The daytime half of the room had a desk that was filled with half finished art projects and art supplies. It also had a cute sun carpet and a bookshelf filled with fictional books. The nighttime side of the room had a dark blue bean bag chair and moon carpet. It also had a TV on a TV stand and a box full of movies, video games, and electronic attachments. There were also multiple video gaming systems connected to the TV. Next to the bed on each side was a nightstand. On the daytime side, it held a bunch of tiny trinkets. On the nighttime side, it held a lamp. On the daytime side, there were pictures that had obviously been drawn by little children hung up around the walls. On the nighttime side, there were posters of shows and video games. There were drawers on each of the nightstands that held who knew what and a toy box at the end of the bed that also held mysterious objects.

So what do you think? Sun asked, looking for a reaction. It's nice. I said, trying not to make him mad. I'm so glad you like it because this is your room now, too! Sun enthused.

Wait, what?!

Sun smiled. Silly, Y/n. Remember, I won, so that means you get to stay here with me forever and be mine! Sun shouted, obviously happy. What? No! I shouted. Sun frowned. You agreed to stay if I won. Sun said, his voice growing dark. You agreed to stay with us! Sun shouted.

The lights in the room flickering dimmer.

I didn't actually think you would win! I shouted back at him. Sun growled, and the lights shut off completely.

Too bad. A voice that was too deep and dark to be Sun's said.

Moon. I said. A wicked, glowing grin was the only answer I got.

Hello, Starlight. Moon said.
