A girl had just arrived from school, weary and sad. She didn't want to go home or stay at school, she was teased that her mother of father never showed up when they were supposed to or they were late. She hated that, but her teacher was the best it the grade, and she was nice as well. The girl was walking home from school today, another day of her mother not picking her up when she was supposed to. The 3rd graders weren't aloud to walk alone, but she went out to the busses and passed through the line of busses and went down the street.
It usually took her an hour that way, they didn't live in town, they lived in the middle of nowhere. She finally, after an hours worth of walking, made it there. Her home. But the door was locked, again, she always left her window open incase. Lucky for her, it hadn't been shut. The girl easily crawled through, she shut the window afterward.
She walked into the living room, everything was a mess, from papers scattered to clothing was littered on the floor. There was hardly room to walk, let alone sleep, but there sat her mother. Lying down on the couch, the girl took a sniff at her mother's breath, alcohol. Her mother had been drinking, again. The girl walked through the littered floor, to the front door. She took some money from on top of the counter and unlocked the door.
She walked all the way to town, or should I say drove, she had taken her four-wheeler that she had bought---with her own money. Her mother couldn't even afford a pack of strawberries! The girl had her own set of money, her own way of transportation and her own communication-if she needed it. She often had to do things herself. The girl arrived at 5:30 to "Paw's Hangout!" A popular restaurant for furries and gay people.
She, was fully gay, and didn't want to be a girl anymore. But If her mother had seen her with a short haircut, she would think it wasn't the "girl" and probably throw her out. "She" planned on doing it eventually, even if it meant that. As she arrived the cashier greeted her "Oh, hello again Cassidy!" The cashier said, the cashier was a tall man with blonde hair and often wore button ups. The "girl's" new name was Cassidy, her non-dead name. Cassidy answered "I'll have the usual; steak".
"Oh okay" said Henry, the cashier. He called back to the cooks in the back, telling them that Cassidy was there. He was their favorite costumer. Henry was... well a furry. He just wasn't wearing his suit currently.
