"I know you're still mad." Soonyoung's gaze failed to meet Jiyeon's as he stuffed his hands in his pocket.

He sighed before speaking."I'm not, trust me. I guess I'm just scared honestly." The concern in his voice was evident but Jiyeon could also see that he was just purely speaking, no words preplanned or topics thought about. He was serious and genuine, a difference from his typical demeanor.

"Walk with me." With the girl's cue, the two started making their way through the large HYBE building, telepathically deciding on the café as a stopping point.

The elevator doors opened before them and Soonyoung knew he had to continue his point or else no more words would be said. "I mean, it used to be Kyung, you, and me. Then Kyungmin left and it was so fucking hard for me to adapt to that but I did, then it was just us. Now all of a sudden Mingyu comes into the picture and I have to adapt to that. We haven't been hanging out as often as we used to, You're always off with Mingyu, and Kyungmin has kind of drifted away too. I guess I just miss us." Soonyoung tried suppressing the tears brimming his eyes yet the waterworks clearly had other plans. Luckily enough, at the faint sight of any sadness, Jiyeon had already engulfed the boy into a tight hug, tighter than she knew she was capable of.

If she was being honest, he was completely right. The two hadn't genuinely hung out in a hot minute, nor had she even contacted Kyungmin for something other than those stupid scandals.

Jiyeon continued to hold the emotional boy as he proceeded to cry, letting out his feelings that were before lodged in the bottom of his heart. She lightly pulled away and cupped Soonyoung's face. "I'm so sorry Hosh...I never knew you felt that way." A sad frown grazed her lips as she looked at the boy who refused to meet her eyes.

"Tell you what. I had scheduled for me to pick up Kiko from Kyung's today, why don't we have a best friend date just the three of us?" Jiyeon watched as her best friend's face lit up the moment she mentioned her plan and all of a sudden, his dried tears were the least of his worries. "I'd really like that J."

The two suddenly stopped as they noticed their destination had been reached "So? How about a pre-adventure sandwich?"

"You know me too well."

"Mingyu? Gyu?" Jiyeon had finally made it back to her apartment after successfully managing to cheer up the hamster and if she had to admit, all she wanted to do was collapse out of fatigue

"Mingyu? Gyu?" Jiyeon had finally made it back to her apartment after successfully managing to cheer up the hamster and if she had to admit, all she wanted to do was collapse out of fatigue.

The three weren't planned to meet up until 3 so honestly any amount of rest would be sufficient for her at that point.

The girl slipped off her shoes and looked up only to see her boyfriend sat on the island table drinking a smoothie. She could hear the music filling the headphones resting on his head as he continued to jam out to music, oblivious to the fact someone entered the room.

"Strawberry and banana?" She asked, waving her hands in front of his face. This time, Mingyu had heard her and went to set his headphones around his neck as he nodded in response to Jiyeon's question.

Mingyu quickly stood up and was instantly engulfed by an exhausted Jiyeon whose clingyness was clearly not going to be put to rest anytime soon. He rubbed her back softly, chuckling at her behavior.

"Tired already?" He questioned, pushing up the frames of his glasses and swaying his girlfriend side-to-side.

"Way. And now I have to go interact with two extraverts in two hours." The two were still in each other's arms but now with enough space between them to meet gazes.

Mingyu's eyebrow raised and his mouth twisted into a confused frown. "Wait who?"

"Hm...well one thinks he's a tiger and the other has a wine problem." At her hints, Mingyu's face immediately lit up with satisfaction at his detective-level assessment skills.

"Oh!" Jiyeon chuckled before disconnecting herself from him and getting a glass of water.

"But why though?" he asked, sipping his smoothie.

"Long story short, Soonyoung was scared of losing connection with me and Kyungmin and since I need to go pick up my dog from Kyung's house, we're just gonna hang out while we're at it." She explained, lowkey out of breath.

Mingyu took a moment to process everything his girlfriend had just said before interrupting himself. "Wait, oh my gosh I forgot you had a dog!" Jiyeon seriously wanted to break out in laughter at how excited Mingyu looked as his eyes lit up.

"Yeah, you met him like once before but I guess this will be a great time for you two to genuinely bond!"

"Wait what do you mean?" He questioned, resting his weight on his right arm as he leaned on the countertop.

"Could you pretty please watch him while I hang out with the guys?" Mingyu wanted to giggle at Jiyeon's plead but for the moment he kept a stern face as if he wasn't keen on the idea.

"I'll even let you...ransack my fridge?"

"I do that already?"

"Ugh fine. You can go through my secret candy drawer."

"Now that is a lovely proposal! I accept!"
