Oh! It's him! My crush! I couldn't help but stare at his breathtaking face, my breath hitching. I forgot to breathe for a moment. But then I snapped out of it, reminding myself to get a grip on myself. "How may I be of help to you?" I asked politely, trying to hide my excitement.
He seemed to notice my invisible presence and asked why I always acted that way. I was surprised that he had been aware of me all this time. "Well, there's not much to it. I don't really have any friends, so after school, I usually just go home to rest and prepare for the next day," I replied, trying not to sound too eager.
He seemed intrigued and asked if I didn't go clubbing with friends or play games. I chuckled nervously. "Nah, I don't really have any friends to go clubbing with, and I'm not much of a gamer either," I admitted, feeling a bit self-conscious.
Then, he said something that caught me completely off guard. "You can start by having me," he said with a smile. Did my crush just ask to be friends? I couldn't believe it. "My name is Kelvin Green. May I know yours, pretty face?" he asked.
I blushed, feeling my heart flutter. "Sure! My name is Abrianna. Abrianna Jonas," I replied, trying to keep my composure. He then asked if we were friends now, to which I nodded, a smile spreading across my face.
His hand reached out for a handshake, and I eagerly took it. It felt like a small victory, being noticed by him and starting a friendship. But I couldn't help but wonder why he had cornered me in the first place. "So, is that the reason for you cornering me?" I asked, hoping for an answer.
He chuckled lightly and confirmed my suspicion. "Yeah," he said. It was a simple answer, but it made me happy that he had taken the initiative to get to know me.
As time went by, we became good friends. Other girls around us were envious, but their opinions didn't matter to me. We spent a lot of time together, eating together and hanging out. I stopped rushing home after school and started enjoying my time with him.
He introduced me to his friends, who were all amazing people. Despite being my seniors, we interacted freely and bonded quickly. Months passed, and our friendship grew stronger.
One day, Kelvin brought up the topic of his upcoming birthday. He suggested celebrating it in a club since it was his twentieth birthday. I wasn't sure about it, but I didn't want him to spend it at home doing nothing either. "I honestly have no idea. It's your twentieth birthday, so it's not like I'll advise you to spend it at home," I said sincerely, considering his proposal.
He insisted that I should come and assured me that we would figure out the logistics. I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness about attending a club for a birthday.
Then, I voiced my concern about not having appropriate party outfits. I only had baggy clothes in my wardrobe. But Kelvin reassured me, saying he would take me shopping. And indeed, he did. We spent a day picking out new clothes together.
He bought me a whole new wardrobe, including bum shorts, crop tops, ripped jeans, and revealing gowns. Some were long, and some were short. I was grateful that my mom usually came back in the evening, and my dad worked the night shift, so I could safely keep the new clothes hidden in a corner of my closet.
I carefully arranged the new outfits, securing them in a hidden spot. I didn't want my parents to see them
