I threw up regularly every morning and constantly felt dizzy and lazy to get out of bed. My breasts had become fuller and heavier, and I had gained weight. On top of that, my sleep never seemed to be enough for me. Kelvin, my partner, also noticed the changes in my body.
One morning, I woke up to the smell of a cologne that made me nauseated. I hurriedly ran to the bathroom to puke, and Kelvin followed behind, holding back my hair and patting my back. I felt restless and decided to find solace in the shower. Kelvin joined me, and we stood there, embracing each other, finding comfort in the cascading water.
After a while, my legs and waist began to ache, and I tearfully expressed my discomfort to Kelvin. Sensing my pain, he lifted me in his arms and carried me to the room. I got dressed and expressed my desire to sleep in his arms, fearing rejection. Thankfully, he obliged and cradled me as I drifted off to sleep, inhaling his comforting scent.
When I woke up, it was already past five in the evening. Kelvin asked if I wanted to go home, but I decided to stay at his place and informed my parents of my plans. We spent the day cuddling and sleeping together.
The following morning, I woke up feeling nauseated again, but this time, nothing came out when I tried to puke. Kelvin entered the bathroom and comforted me as I breathed heavily. We showered together once more, and afterward, I felt a strong aversion to barbecue, which had been my favorite *food*. I had been acting strangely, and the symptoms I experienced aligned with those of pregnancy according to my Google search. I hoped it wasn't the case.
I asked Kelvin to order food for me—fried rice, salad, chicken, and a smoothie—while I tried to eat despite my uncertainties. Kelvin, concerned by my behavior, suggested that we both go to the hospital once we checked out of the hotel.
We rested for a while, and I drifted back to sleep. In my dream, I saw myself happily breastfeeding two adorable baby girls. It was just the three of us, and I didn't recognize anyone else in the dream.
I woke up as Kelvin gently lifted me off the bed and guided me to the dining room. We started eating breakfast, and he watched me closely, expecting me to struggle with finishing the food. Surprisingly, I managed to eat it all.
We checked out of the presidential suite and made our way to the hospital. The doctor asked about my symptoms, and I shared everything in details. He suspected early signs of pregnancy and recommended a pregnancy test. Kelvin was shocked by the possibility, but I silently prayed for a negative result.
After a long wait, the test results were finally available, and the reality sank in.
