The young vampire literally snatched away the girl Klaus had at that night to entertain himself, leaving him offended, amused and intrigued at the same time.
After that Klaus has been following and trying to charm him for 10 years straight.
For 10 years, Axel was trying to get away from the original and cursing himself for ever crossing him.
It was the start of 40' when he give the old man a chance and since then, Klaus has never been to far away from his love.
Axel was the only one who could make him feel like human. He was the safe place for the older vampire, the only one who he trusted with his life.
Klaus has been falling in love more and more with Axel every damn second.
He couldn't even describe how he adored the younger vampire.
When he got a call from Axel to prepare his furry ass for the ritual that can forever free him, his face broke into a huge grin that he couldn't shake off.
He catched the vampire and werewolf with the same grin, which was turning a bit creepy but no one was brave enough to tell him that.

It was a night of a full moon, the ritual was happening in the woods of Mystic Falls.
Elena was pacing in her room, her hands were shaking and her heart was beating faster then it should.
She looked at the time, waiting for Axel to take her.
She knew Axel wouldn't let him die, she trusted him with anything, but doesn't matter how much you trust someone, when you know you're about to die, anyone would be nervous.
Soon enough, there was a knock on her window and she quickly walked toward it, expecting Axel but her face filled with confusion when she saw Stefan instead.
"Stefan? What are you doing here?"
"I uh.. I wanted to talk, you have been avoiding me for the last couple of days, i just wanted to know if i did something wrong." He asked, walking inside her room.
"It's not really a good time, we should talk later." Elena said, glancing nervously at the time.
"Did something happened?" Stefan looked at her in concern.
"No uh.. Just can we talk later? I'm not really in the-" her words were cut of when Axel appeared on her balcony.
Stefan looked at Axel in confusion, he than looked at Elena, his face filled with hurt and betrayal.
"This is why you have been avoiding me?" Stefan asked, pointing toward offended Axel.
"What? No, what are you-" Elena tried to explain but was cut of by Stefan.
"And you, i thought i could trust you? Did you really had to do it? Did you really had to go after her?" Stefan looked at his older brother, looking at him in anger.
Axel looked at Stefan like he lost his mind.
"You got it all wrong." He said, his voice strict.
"Than tell me why are you here in the middle of the night and why were you avoiding me?" Stefan turned toward Elena.
Elenas expression turned from panicked to angry as she looked up at the boy.
"You want to know why? Fine, i saw the picture of Katherine." At her words Stefans face fall.
"Elena-"
"No, i don't care, i don't want to be with someone who is with me because i look like their ex."
"You're not her, you're-"
"I don't care Stefan! she hurt you, broke yours and Damons heart, manipulated you and you're saying you love me? Someone who looks exactly like her? That's not love Stefan, that's-that's an obsession, it's not healthy." Elena said, her voice turning soft at the end.
Axel look around, trying to avoid looking at the two, feeling out of place and awkward.
"I'm in love with you, Elena." Stefan said in a pleading tone.
"You're not, you're in love with the idea of me, of my face and i... I don't want that, I'm sorry Stefan but us... It won't happen, please leave." Elena said, looking away.
Stefans eyes filled with tears, looking at the girl and after a few seconds he vamp speed away, leaving to gods knows where.
Axel look at the girl, feeling like everything was his fault. He let out a sigh and pulled the teenager in his arms, hugging her tightly.
Elena wrapped her arms around him, a sob leaving her lips.
After a couple of minutes she pulled away, wiping her tears and calming down.
Axel caressed her cheek, wiping the remaining tear.
"Are you alright, if you want we can postpone the ritual, just sit, watch something and eat vanilla ice cream." Axel said, his tone gentle.
"No, i think this is the best time for the ritual, and i don't want to make the poor man wait for another month, let's go." Elena straightened and walked out of her room and into her balcony.
At her words Axel chuckled and followed her.
He wrapped his arms around her waist and vamp speed out of the house and into the woods.
After some minutes Axel stopped, putting Elena down who tried to stable herself.
Elena looked around, spotting two fire circles with two women inside. A witch was standing near them and in the middle was a man with dirty blonde hair.
When he saw them, his face broke into a huge grin.
"Love, what took you so long." He walked closer to them and, to Elenas surprise, kissed Axel.
"There was some complications but nothing serious." He said, smiling softly.
"Good, good, And you must be my darling doppelganger, I'm Klaus, nice to finally meet you." Klaus said with a cheeky grin, pulling up his hand for a handshake.
Elena hesitantly shook his hand and nodded.
"I'm Elena, nice to meet you too." She said softly.
"We can start." The witch said, gaining everyones attention.
Axel looked at Elena and squeezed her hand.
"Everything will be alright, I'm here and I'll be here when you wake up." He said softly, kissing the top of her head.
Elena nodded, and walked closer to the two women who were in the fire circle and the ritual begins.
So, I'm thinking of pairing Elena with someone else but i don't know who, so give me some ideas and love you all. ❤
