"What just happened?"
"What was that?"
"Did you see that?"
"Who were they?"
The whispers started as soon as the family left the premises. With the power radiating earlier gone, they felt as if they could finally breathe. Everyone started to carefully get up from the table, gathering outside the halls. Luckily, no one was severely injured, only a few cuts from the shattered pieces of the glass.
"EVERYONE BACK TO YOUR DORMS!" The headmaster's voice boomed, voice commanding.
Everyone began scattering back to their dorms, talking about the accident.
"Harry, what happened?" Hermione hurried to the raven-haired boy's side. She had been sat far from him, unable to hear the conversation between the three newcomers earlier.
"I-I..." Harry stuttered, he was still shocked from the previous event. The Gryffindors began crowding around him, all curious to know what had just occurred. "Her aunt said.. she said Lilith's sister just died.."
The twins shared a glance, they didn't even know Lilith had siblings.
"S-she said.. Lilith felt it. She felt her sister dying." Harry told them, glancing around the shocked and pity on their faces.
"W-was that her accidental magic?" Ron questioned timidly, he was stunned by how powerful the display was.
"I-I think so." Hermione answered hesitatingly
"D-you think she'll be alright?" Oliver asked the twins worriedly, they glanced at each other before replying, "She just.. needs time."
And so the chatter began.
--
"Albus what was that accidental magic?" McGonagall asked, voice wavering as she reminisced the accident.
"I do not know, Minerva." Dumbledore shook his head gravely.
The Professors had huddled up in his office, excluding Lockhart who had passed out due to the overwhelming power in her scream. They left him there lying on the Great Hall.
"I-is she dangerous?" Professor Snape questioned, slightly shaking.
"She's a child!" McGonagall snapped.
"It is yet to be decided. But magic that strong..." The headmaster trailed off, "I have never seen such display of powerful magic. Not to mention this was accidental."
"Those three... Her family." Dumbledore started, "I don't recognize them."
"Drakos." Professor Trelawney spoke up for the first time. She was shaking as well, but her voice remained strong.
All heads snapped towards her, shock coursing through their body once more. "That's her surname."
"It was not written in her acceptance letter." McGonagall said hastily, "The Drakos family has disappeared for centuries. No one has heard a single thing about them."
"Until now."
"You must have noticed, Minerva. When they walked in... I have never felt power so strong before.."
"Professor Dumbledore, if that was her accidental magic, that could only be a drip of her power. We have no idea what she's capable of." Snape spoke, voice alert.
"She must not fall into the wrong hands."
--
A few days has passed since the accident. Lilith refused to leave her room in the Underworld, much less get up from her bed. She had completely stopped eating, only staring off into space and occasionally break down.
