My heart, it has cracks,
shaking in the cold
like a frigid animal in the storm.
You come along, like a cup of melted rock, poured over my heart, filling each gap, the space between every crack.
I feel it harden, holding my heart together, until I get too comfortable.
It's gets too safe like that.
My emotions overwhelm you with temperature, until it gets too much for you.
You melt again, slipping from the cracks, draining.
You filter through it all, each gap, empty space of me you once filled, until you're gone.
You passed right through.
Again, my heart, it has cracks, quivering.
My cold, empty, heart.
