Amaia awoke with a small headache and a desert in her mouth. As her eyes slowly adjusted to the incoming light, she couldn't quite place where she was. It only took a moment for her to realize she felt the comforting weight of someone's arm on her waist and a hand on her stomach. She turned around and almost collided with Bada's head. Bada. She did a double, then a triple check. The memories of the night flooded back, and Amaia bit down a groan of embarrassment. Her stirring had roused the older girl.

Yawning, Bada scrunched her eyes. "Good morning, sleeping beauty. How are you?"

Amaia hid her head in her hands, nearly vanishing under the blankets. "Ashamed."

"What of?" Bada chuckled softly.

"Behaving like a child every time I'm drunk."

"That was cute, don't worry. You could have been more of a struggle."

"Could I?"

"Well, now that you say so, I do remember you insisting a lotttt to come home."

Amaia tried not to focus on the word home. "And now I may have to worry about Kirsten killing me," Bada concluded.

"Don't worry. I'll protect you from Kirsten." Amaia attempted another laugh.

"My knight in shining armor," Bada mocked.

"Well, it's my turn now at least. Stay in bed; I'll make us breakfast." Amaia declared, intending to repay Bada for taking care of her the night before.

"You don't even know where the kitchen is. Let me show you around." Bada slowly rose from bed.

"You better stay right here. I'll be fine; you've done too much for me already." Amaia pointed a finger at Bada, signaling "let me do this for you."

"Fine, fine."

And off Amaia went in search of the kitchen. It felt strange being in Bada's place after a night of tangled limbs, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. While recollecting the events of the previous night, she deciphered Korean packaging to determine what was edible for breakfast. Settling on scrambled eggs, pancakes, and what looked like marmalade, she spotted some oranges and prepared freshly squeezed juice. Amaia arranged everything on a plate and tried to get some of her dignity back walking toward the bedroom.

"Ta-daaaa, breakfast is served!" Amaia announced with a flourish upon her return, a proud grin illuminating her face.

"Thank you, Chef Amaia. You shouldn't have," Bada said, suppressing a grin of her own. Amaia's heart swelled at the sight. Bada was casually seated on her bed, wearing glasses and her hair a bit dishevelled, only adding to her charm. Amaia tried to catch a glimpse of her own reflection and couldn't help but groan.

"Bada, you could have told me I looked like a freaking zombie. I would have scrubbed my makeup off."

"Don't worry, I love a good jumpscare in the morning," Bada teased.

Amaia burst out laughing and ran to the door Bada had gestured towards, assuming it led to the bathroom. As she wiped her face clean, she couldn't help but notice that she was wearing obviously too-big pyjamas, blushing at the memory of how she ended up in those clothes. The morning really felt surreal. She shook her head and gather her thoughts before walking back confidently. A she climbed back into bed, she felt the initial weirdness of waking up in the same bed slowly dissipating.

"What do you have planned for the day?" she asked.

"Nothing much. I'll probably start choreographing a piece for my class on Saturday, but other than that, just taking it easy. What about you?"

"I'll also have to think about that. I'm teaching my first class on Sunday! And guess what? Latrice will be teaching right before me!"

"Really? That's awesome! If you want, we can booka slot to rehearse at the studio tomorrow?" Bada suggested.

"That sounds good. Until then, we NAP" Amaia said, letting out a luxurious yawn and stretching like a contented cat.

"Sounds like a dream" Bada smiled at her blissful demeanor, while feeding her a spoonful of scrambled eggs.

"Up for some movies?"

"What do you suggest?" Amaia inquired.

"We're hungover. It calls for a Disney movie," Bada declared matter-of-factly.

"Give me a heads up the day you decide to have a flaw," Amaia simply answered resting against Bada's shoulder. Tangled had only started playing that she felt herself almost drifting back to sleep, lulled by the rhythmic playing of Bada's fingers through her hair and the comforting warmth enveloping her. Amaia hesitated before breaking the comfortable silence.

"You know, after this week, I think I will leave the hotel. The girls are thinking of going back home in New Zealand for a bit since the media tour will be over. I have more classes booked, and I am in no rush of going anywhere, so I'll look into an Airbnb probably".

Bada turned to her, an understanding look in her eyes. "We do have a lot of things planned still. I'm glad you're staying in Seoul".

"Hum hum, and as much as I loved living with the girls, I think I'll enjoy some peace and quiet".

After a few seconds, Bada decided to follow her instincts, praying she wasn't making a mistake.

"You know my place is open, right? You can always join the girls back at the hotel when they come back for the tour or any other reason. My apartment is big enough, and you wouldn't be bothering me at all." She held her breath, worried about overstepping some unspoken boundaries.

Amaia paused, attempting to keep her calm, although she hadn't dared to hope. She felt relieved to see that Bada was on the same wavelength as her. She pretended to consider the offer but grinned widely after two seconds."That sounds... really nice, Bada. I'd like that."

Bada's gaze lingered "You know I won't take it bad it you don't want to right ?"

Amaia chuckled. "Bada, please. Do you remember me practically begging to crash at your place yesterday? If anything, I don't want to intrude."

Bada's tension just melted away, and a huge smile broke out on her face. "You're not intruding; I'm offering. I've had enough of not being able to see you whenever on the show; now is the time to make it up."

Amaia turned fully towards Bada, adjusting the blanket over them both as she faced the taller girl. "I would really like that then," she said, the excitement bubbling beneath her words.

Bada grinned and leaned in. Amaia didn't need a second invitation—she closed the gap and let out a contented sigh, the warmth of the moment bringing back sweet memories from the night before.

"Yes, I could get used to this" Bada concluded, as they settled into the nest of blankets, wrapped up in each other.
