Thick liquid runs down celestial's cheek.

Blood.

She couldn't believe it , as much as her uncle hit her and made her feel like she was nothing but dirt on the wall she never expected her aunt to do the same.
Her aunt was cooking breakfast for Milo, her cousin and Rafeal, her uncle. Her aunt Maria always cooked the breakfast first and if there was anything left she would sneak it to Celestial once her uncle went to work.

Except for today, Celeste came running down stairs knowing her uncle left for work and that her cousin Milo went to school. She quickly ran to the kitchen since last night there were no leftovers to eat.

"What are you doing down here, run along!" Her aunt said, dropping whatever paper she had in her hand onto the kitchen counter.

"B-but I haven't eaten since yesterday's breakfast"Celeste squeaked out in hopes that her aunt would understand how she felt starved.

Her aunt's face turned mean, meaner than it already was. Her aunt grabbed the small girl by the arm and dragged her out from the kitchen to the living room.

"You do not need any food"She said pushing celeste onto the floor making her hit her face onto the cold wooden floor. Her aunt then proceeded walking away back into the kitchen.

Celeste's eyes immediately began to fill with hot tears as she began to run upstairs into her little cubby which happened to be her room. Celeste plopped down onto the two blankets that laid on the floor. She couldn't help but cry more, the one person that she thought at least tolerated her actually hated her just like everybody else.

The innocent girl just couldn't understand what she did wrong, she couldn't understand why she brings her family so much hate.

"I wish I wasn't here anymore" She whispered, she hated feeling like she caused everybody around her to become angry, she hated the feeling.
Celeste cried so much her eyes began to drop and eventually her thumb made its way to her mouth and sooner or later she was asleep.

3 hours later

"Wake up Celestial!"Milo screamed from the outside of the closet door. Celeste's eyes immediately opened since she had always been the lightest sleeper.

"Mother and Father need to tell you something"Celeste heard Milo say before hearing his footsteps get farther and farther.

This was bad, she knew she was never to come out of her room until after breakfast time so she could watch them eat the food. She wondered what might be the reason they let her come down stairs before dinner. She immediately stepped out the closet, quickly walking downstairs in hopes she didn't end up with more dried up blood on her face.

Downstairs in the living area sat her uncle, aunt and cousin milo.

"Hurry up girl"Her uncle said once he took a notice she was downstairs. Celeste quickly went and sat on the sage green loveseat that matched perfectly with the other decor.

"This morning we received a letter in the mail stating that you must start school tomorrow."My aunt said, looking directly into celeste eyes.

Celeste could tell that Rafael wasn't happy at all, Milo didn't seem to care although Milo never did anything when her uncle would hit Celeste , he also ever did anything to celeste.

But celeste couldn't help but resent him for not stopping his father and for all the love and support he received from his family. She couldn't help it.

"Rafael has already gotten your uniform and tomorrow you will ride with milo to school but after that you will find your own way home."Maria said before continuing. "If you get in any trouble just know there will be severe punishments."She says

"Y-yes I u-understand" Celeste said nodding her head. She didn't know how to feel, of course she wanted to get away from her family even if it was to school but Celeste had developed severe anxiety, she was scared of the people that she'll be around. She was also known to be a huge crybaby and she just hoped she didn't cry at every little thing once she got there.

"Celestial you will keep your mouth shut about anything that goes on here, do you understand." Rafael said gritting his teeth, making celeste shrink farther into the couch than she previously was.

"Yes sir"She said, lowering her head so she didn't have to look him in the face. She knew better than to do that with him or any male, he had made that very clear on milo's 9th birthday years ago.

"Then what are you still doing down here?"He said, reaching his arm on the coffee table grabbing the remote. Celeste quickly stood up and went to her closet.
Oo
She had a lot to think about. She had never even thought that her aunt and uncle would let her go to school.Celeste knew she wasn't smart, she had not gone to school but of course her aunt and uncle didn't homeschool either.

She was lucky that when she was little her dad taught her to read and write and she also was lucky that left in the closet when she got here was tons of old books that took up at least half of the room. Through the 10 years of being here she had read all the books at least TWICE! Even though they were old history or animal books.

She couldn't help but to be scared of the new place that she was being forced to go to. Atleast at home she knew what everybody was capable of and what to expect, but at the school she just knew the people there would be meaner, crueler and probably do much worse.

Later on that night Milo knocked on the door once before opening it. "Here are your uniforms, tomorrow go to the front office and they'll give you your schedule"He says before setting the folded clothes on the floor in front of Celeste "bed" which was actually just two thick blankets.

He then spoke once again, surprising himself and celeste "It'll be okay Celeste" He takes one last look at the poor girl before walking out and closing her door while locking it.

Like he was supposed to do every night.

Celeste just hoped that it would be okay like he said.

Hellooo, I had to redo the first chapter since I came up with totally different vibes for the story. Excuse all my mistakes and also I feel really bad for Celeste. Oh and to clear any confusion with her name , her name is Celestial Esmeralda Diaz but she much rather people call her Celeste. This is also not edited since I think Ima just do that at the end after I finish the entire book. Byeee!!
