- ISHAN'S POV -

I was standing with Rohit bhaiya Virat sir and gill rohit bhaiya then spoke
Rohit bhaiya : shubman tum bhot ache khelte ho (you play well shubman)
Gill : thank you sir
Rohit bhaiya : sir? Bhai ya bhaiya bulao ye sir var na karo Ishan bhi mujhe bhaiya hi kheta ha (sir? Call me bhai or bhaiya dont call sir even Ishan calls me bhaiya)
He just noded at rohit bhaiya gosh such a shy baby he is
Virat sir : accha hum sirf bate karte rehnge unhe practice bhi toh karni hai na test ki ( come on we will just keep talking they have to practice for test )

We both smile at them and they went away i heard gill sighing so i turned to him and asked concerned
Ishan : tum thik ho kya hua? (are you ok what happened?)
Gill :  are vo virat sir mere idol hai aur rohit sir kitne acge player hai inspiration hai vo toh mai nervous ho gaya ( its just that virat sir is my idol and rohit sir is such a good player inspiration i was nervous)
Ishan : tumhe baat karni ati hai ha? Matlab subhe se buus hi siir hilane ke alava kuch nahi kiya tha ( so you can talk huh? I mean since morning all you did was nod or said hi thats it )
Gill : vo ugh.......
Ishan : bolo sharma kyu rahe ho? ( tell why are you shy? )
Gill : *sighed* vo na maine appke sare matches dekhe hai aur mujhe ap ka game style sab bohot pasend hai like tum mere role model ho cricket mai anese pehele to apko samne dehkar thoda nervous ho gaya ( the thing is i saw your every matches and i love the way play and your style you became my role model even before i entered the cricket so seeing personal got me nervous )

I was stunned the MR.GILL everyones simping for ...  thinks me as his role model?? CHERRY ON TOP I CANT EVEN REMEMBER HIS NAME OH GOD SO EMBERESSING i cleared my throat and said
Ishan : i-i did not expect the mr gill everyone idol and crush would say that you got me by surprise
Gill : vaise ap mujhe gill kyu bulate hai? ( btw why do you call me gill? )

Oh god how can i say that i cant remember his name come on ishan make some excuses
Ishan : vo you know respect ha respect jaise tum mujhe ap aur vo khete hona isliye ( yk as respect yes respect )
Gill : ohh koi nahi apse.....i mean tumse milkar acha laga hopefully hum dono india ke liye sath me khele (oh nvm nice meeting you hopefully we will play for india together)

I smiled at him and he left ok his not that bad just then mayank came towards me screaming like crazy so i asked
Ishan : bhai tu thik ha na? (bro u good)
Mayank : bhai tum ne shubman gill ke sath practice aur baat ki aur aur virat sir aur rohit bahiya se bhi lucky u (  bro you talked with shubman gill and practiced with him even talked with him and and virat sir and rohit bhaiya too lucky you )

I rolled my eyes over his hyped self and said
Ishan : vo sab shod tujhe pata hai ki rohit bhaiya kya bole..vo bole me or vo gill 2023 wc ke liye select ho gaya hai hume sirf test deni hai aur agar vo pass kari toh hume indian team ke liye officially select ho jaenge ( leave that do you know what rohit bhaiya said....he said i and gill are selected for wc 2023 we only have pass the test to be officially selected )
Mayank : ohh my goddd ish congrats

He said that hugged me i was so excited i mean who wouldn't playing for India god its dream of every player then we broke hug everyone came to congratulate me for being selected then i remembered oh shoot i should call my parents ... no wait i will tell once i am officially selected i dont wanna disappoint them...from corner of my eye i saw gill sitting alone looking into his phone god such a introvert guy and no one approached him as everyone loves and respect him so i told mayank i will back and ran towards that idiot
Ishan : hey bhai akle kyu betha hai ( hey bro why are u sitting alone )
Shubman : bas koi dost nahi hai mere ek tha paar aaj use bukhar hai toh nahi aya ( well i dont have friends i mean i have one friend but he didnt came as his down with fever )
Ishan : bhai mai kon hu fir? Ab toh hame sath hi rehna hai wc ke liye
( bro then who am i? And now we have to stay together you know for wc )

I saw he looked little shocked but then he smiled and let me tell when he smiled whole world around me stopped only i could see was him ..he looked so handsome that i forgot to breathe he looked at me and heart just skipped a beat gosh what is he doing black magic? All of the sudden i even remembered his name shubman gill what handsome name for handsome guy......oh well
Shubman : bhai tu thik hai ( bro u good )
Ishan : tumhara phone number de do
( give me you number )
Shubman : ha bhai likh na
( yes bro write )

I took his number i wanna know more about this guy i know my cricket addict brother and father can tell me about this guy well we have holiday for 2 weeks then we have practice later test so we all are going home tomorrow our practice for today got over i went with mayank in our hotel then i packed my bag ibwas tired so i decided to skip my dinner i layed on my bed and opened my phone there i saw shubman's message yeah we exchanged our numbers
Shubman : reached to room safe thanks for today i didnt felt left out because of you

I smiled and replied
Ishan : thanks for what bhai we are friends now right?

After like 3 mins he replied
Shubman : friends?...really?😳

I laughed little and replied
Ishan : dont wanna be?😑

He replied instantly
Shubman : nono i wanna be just was shocked you know no one talks with me and asked for friendship i felt like finally i could fit in 🙏

Gosh this guy dont know why people dont talk to him cause they respect you idiot they think they are not worthy to talk to you but well i will tell him that slowly
Ishan : man 😭 nvm good night i have flight tomorrow at 5
Shubman : yes good night

I put alarm at 3.30 then kept my phone and thought people should treat him normal poor guy thinks his lonely i will make things right for you no worries i thought and went to sleep....
