"I've wondered multiple times whether, -as a businessman, you actually have a common sense when it comes to her, and I think, ... you need therapy. Urgently."

Sung Jae speaks while his fingers are still busy typing on his phone.

Jungkook halted from sipping on his cold beer, and looks at his friend with furrowed brows.

"What are you talking about?"

"You do realize we are still holding your wife's funeral, right? What makes you think that coming to the Park's is a good idea? Are you even at your right mind? Besides, it's bad luck for them. You might be kicked out later."

Jungkook snorts while tossing the empty can into the bin then taking a bottle of soju from the mini fridge.

"One call to Daejung will give us all clear."

"Sure. Of course. But you know that's not the point here. You are in a mourning period after losing your beloved wife. She's still in the casket at the hospital as we speak, and I'm pretty sure there will be reporters or paparazzis who will love to dig all the scandalous rumors they could get about the affair. You don't want to add more fuel to the fire."

Beloved wife.

He scoffs while taking another gulp of soju. Day drinking is never a good idea, especially when there are piles of work waiting for him at the office.

Unlike usual, he is feeling hopeful today, despite uncertainty brewing inside his family and his upcoming meeting with his father, which is not exactly the thing he worries about right now.

He's thinking more about Yujin.
Her situation now that her husband had gone, she is alone and vulnerable.
He should have done something for her, but time is not on his side yet.
It just drives him insane to think of even just one more day to wait.

He doesn't want another miserable waiting on the side.

He leans back while taking in the scenery outside the limo.

The sky was bright and clear, there are scattered clumps of cloud over the horizon. The weather is still freezing during the night, but afternoon breeze is pleasantly cool.
