"𝑺𝒐 what is your dating life like right now? Any new guys in there?"
I tilt my head a bit in confusion, I didn't even want to go to this show in the first place, and the host is already asking me such absurd questions. However; I quickly relax my muscles, and soften my face, and just smile along and laugh with the host.
"Um, no, nothing there." I laugh awkwardly, feeling as if I had just dry swallowed a massive pil and now it was lodged somewhere in my throat. I of course didnt want the interviewer and the public to know about who I was dating at that moment, I didn't want anyone to know there was supposedly another man in my life once again.
He just shrugged with a massive smile plastered across his face.
"I'm surprised haha, your almost never single Madeline."
Welcome back anger.
I feel my body tighten once again, and I just sit there awkwardly, not letting my anger get the best of me. I just smile kindly, in amusement, hoping that would be the last comment and question about my dating life.
The host crosses his legs, and positions himself into a comfortable position before asking me a few more questions. He glances at me in amusement, or more in a smirking way. I smile kindly, trying to show my confusion in a kind matter.
"I hear that your starting to work on a movie that you recently got the role for?"
I nodded, trying to contain my annoyance, as much as I love my role, I didnt really want to work with my co-star.
"Yes, yes, um, the movie is called The Maze Runner, and its based on the dystopian book series of you've read it--
"Right, that sounds very interesting. And your the main love interest isn't that correct? And so are the character names, Brenda and Teresa?"
I could tell immediately who the interviewer wanted me to mention, I bit my tongue, trying to control my anger. I just smiled and put on my cute thinking face.
"Yes actually, I play Isabelle, the main love interest who Thomas eventually is with in the end, and Newt is played by Thomas Brodie-Sangster and uh-
I giggle a bit, trying to think of who else is playing in the movie besides the one I'm trying to dodge. I notice the interviewer nodding, intrigued with what I had to say.
"Who's your co star?" The interviewer had cut me off before I could even get to that part, I stopped talking, looking at the host, giving him a sharper look of warning but I quickly cover it up with a sweet, awkward smile.
"Well, I'm pretty sure Dylan O'brien is playing the other main role, he plays Thomas."
I hear the crowd cheer as the sudden mention of his name, I look over to the crowd, laughing in amusement, though inside of me I wanted to slap his name out of my mouth.
"Well, I love the casting, and I'm loving how this is a dystopian movie, those are definitely my favourite, haha." The host laughed the fakest laugh I had ever heard before he started to say goodbye to me and the crowd.
"And Cut!"
I stopped smiling immediately and I peeled the mic off of me, and I shook the interviewer's hand before leaving the studio. Once I was out of the building, I let a large sigh of relief flow out of my mouth as I started to walk over to my car. I didn't even try to cover my face by the paparazzi as the flashes made me feel like I was going to have a seizure or something any second.
Once I made it into my car, I started the engine quickly and drove towards my house. I sighed on the way home, thinking of how my first day at work was going to be on Monday, and that's when I would have to see Dylan, which I really didnt want to.
