𝑻𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚 was supposed to be a very busy day; wake up at five, get ready, go to the set to film, then I have interviewers for the rest of my day until around eleven in the evening.
And it has been maybe a week since the first film day, and I felt I was really coming around with everyone on set. Me and Kaya are becoming pretty close, and me and Will became close fast, whereas Dylan and Thomas sort of kept to themselves and Ki Hong sort of was close with everyone on the set.
I got out of my glam chair, not even bothering to see if I look good. I already knew I looked good, my team always made me feel and look amazing so I stopped even bothering looking into a mirror to check.
I had my airpods in at that moment, blasting Ariana Grande of course, so I couldn't hear anything around me as I started to walk over to the set to continue filming.
Today for filming was supposed to be a little more fun, and really paying attention to deleted scenes and the bloopers, which usually is really fun with everyone. I mouthed the lyrics quietly so that no one could hear, but I couldn't help but sing along to God is a Women.
Suddenly I feel someone tap on my shoulder behind me, causing my heart to jump in fright. I spun around quickly, seeing as it was just Dylan smiling kindly at me. I smiled at him in embarrassment before taking my airpods out of my ears to see what he wanted.
"Hey Dylan, what's up?"
He just shrugs, clearly wasting my time if he just interrupted me for no particular reason. My lips stuck together, waiting impatiently for him to explain to me if he wanted anything.
"You listening to Ariana Grande still?" He asked with a playful smirk plastered on his face, his arms crossed over his chest, bringing out his biceps in the tight long sleeve shirt.
I raised my eyebrow in surprise, chuckling a bit awkwardly, unsure of what to say. I just shrugged simply, smiling kindly to him, hoping I wouldn't come across rude.
"Yup."
He smiled, glancing at the ground then back up at me, he opened his mouth to say something else but quickly shut his face. He let out a huff before he smiled a goodbye and walked past me. My eyebrows furrowed together in confusion as I watched him walk past me before I put down my stuff and made my way over to the set/filming area.
"Okay, so Madeline, your gonna walk over to Dylan and stop at this blue mark and your going to say--
"I got it, I got it, let's do this." I assured the director who smiled in relief when he ran back to the back, getting ready to film. I stood behind the red mark, getting ready to run over to the blue mark. I took a deep breath, hoping I would relax myself, trying to really sink into my character and what she would be feeling and doing if I were in her situation.
"And...Action!"
Right when he had said action, tears began to well up in my eyes, causing me to sob as I ran over to the blue mark. I ran as fast as I could, breathing heavily, looking behind me, pretending to see one of the monsters my character was supposed to see. Right now, me and Dylan's characters were stuck in the maze, and are getting chased by grievers.
"Thomas!" I scream, causing my voice to crack a bit as I ran into him viciously. Dylan spun around, eyes wide as he was breathing frantically staring at 'the griever.'
"Run, run Isabelle!" He screamed as he gripped my arm harshly and dragged me to run with him. I gasped as I stumbled, trying to follow him as fast as I could.
Of course, this was all just acting, I can in fact run properly without having the need to be held by the arm.
"Cut!"
Quickly, I had stopped running and Dylan promptly let go of my arm. However, Dylan kept running faster and faster, everyone was watching him while laughing their asses off. I watched him run all the way to the end of the wall just for him to stop and drop to the floor.
I watched him, trying not to smile, but I couldn't help myself. I smiled into my hand, twirling around a bit, getting all giggly, warm and fuzzy all at the same time.
I quickly realized how I was feeling and acting, and I quickly snapped back to reality, having a straight face now and I made my way back to my phone to check if my boyfriend had texted me yet. I wanted to get my mind off Dylan and just focus on my own life, instead of the life I could have had with a completely different man.
𝙶𝚘𝚘𝚍 𝚕𝚞𝚌𝚔 𝚊𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚒𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚟𝚒𝚎𝚠𝚜!
I smile, looking down at the text my boyfriend had sent, there was that warm and fuzzy once again. Only this time it felt like a different warm and fuzzy feeling than the feeling I had with Dylan; and I wasn't sure if it was a good or bad thing, I couldn't tell.
I text him back quickly before setting my phone down and heading back to the set, meeting with Dylan in our previous positions though at a different angle.
"And, Action."
We both start running as fast as we can, gasping for air as we both almost fell to the ground.
"Faster Isabelle!" He screamed running a bit ahead of me, letting my arm go so I could run faster. I tried to make it look like I couldn't run as fast as Dylan as best as I could, though it was hard to act like you're slower at running when in reality you run marathons just for the fun of it.
Suddenly, I notice the red mark and I immediately trip and fall into the grass, screaming in terror as a 'griever' screeches at me. I scream, my voice shaky, tears streaming down my face as I try to crawl away, but couldn't make it away from the 'griever.'
"Hey! Over here!"
The 'griever' looks over at Dylan/Thomas, and screeches in terror, almost making my ears bleed. It starts to chase Dylan, however the griever isn't actually real so Dylan and I both still have to pretend there is actually something chasing us.
"Cut!"
I stood up quickly, dusting the dirt off me, and looking up seeing Dylan jog towards me with a light smile on his face.
"Good job, you're very talented Madeline." He gushed, his face red and sweaty from screaming and running away from nothing. I smiled at him in amusement, I missed this. I missed how it felt to laugh and smile with him again, and to look into his eyes and not want to tear my arm off and throw it at him.
"Thanks, you did very well too." I complimented him back, I was never very good in social situations as a kid. I was always very awkward, and very self-conscious, and I sucked with compliments from anyone. I never know what to say so I just panic and I blurt out something stupid, but whenever I was with Dylan it was so easy.
He smiled and just walked past me once again before turning back around and calling after me.
"Good luck with your interviews by the way!"
I paused, my smile stuck on my face before it slowly faded away. I sighed, and walked away. We were finally done shooting for the day, and I guess we didnt really work on bloopers, however I'm sure Dylan running away will definitely be apart of the blooper reels.
When Dylan had said that, it felt different having that sentence come from him compared to my boyfriend.
I'm sure it's nothing.
