"Thanks again for taking me home." I thank Jay while sitting in his car which is parked in front of my house.
"You know, there's plenty of other ways to thank me." I scoff.
"Goodnight Jay." I reach for the door but he grabs my chin turning my head towards him.
"Go on a date with me." He blurts out. Shock must be written all over my face because he chuckles.
"W-what a date? Like a date-date?" I look at him wide eyed. Is he being serious? Is this his idea of a joke?
"Yeah, I know this great place to get some frozen yogurt." He looks straight at me, he really is serious and for a moment all I see his is Jay not some gang leader.
"Uh sure, yeah sounds great." I feel my cheeks burn just thinking about a date with Jay. This is too surreal.
"Great! I'll pick you up around 4." I nod.
"Okay, can it be on Saturday?" He thinks about it for a minute.
"As you wish, angel." He says shocking me once again.
"Angel?"
"Yes, you are my angel, deal with it."
"Okay goodnight." I say, probably not the response he was seeking but I didn't know what to tell him. Before heading outside I give him a quick peck on the lips. I walk inside to see grams sitting in her chair watching her show.
"Hey grams, what are you doing up so late?" I sit on the couch.
"I just wanted something to drink." I stand up walking to the kitchen pouring her a glass of water. After she finished she went straight to bed. As I walk up stairs to my room exhaustion hits me like a fraught train. I change into sleeping clothes then crawl into bed, welcoming the sweet dreams of Jay and me.
"Cam! Cam! CCAAMMMM!" I jolt awake with my ears ringing. I wait for my eyes to adjust before looking around my room to see Suz.
"How the hell did you get in my house?" I groan turning over and throwing a pillow over my head.
"You should really get in the habit of locking your front door." She says making me mumble some not exactly nice words into the pillow. "Now get up before we're late for school."
"I don't feel like it Suz." I state pushing the covers all the way up to cover my head.
"And why is that?" She asks pulling the covers from me.
"Because I'm too busy thinking about my date on Saturday, with Jay." I was speaking so fast I didn't think she understood.
"Wait, wait, wait, you... and Jay are going on a... date?" I squeal just thinking about it.
"Yah, he asked me last night." I said proudly.
"That's great! Now get your ass dressed." She demands
AN// Let's just skip straight to Saturday for everybody's sake.
"Okay we have 6 hours to get you ready for your date. So get your ass up, today's going to be a busy day." I groan tossing a pillow at her.
"Just shut the hell up and let me sleep!" I yell into my pillow.
"Look I'm here because you begged me to help you prepare, so suck it up and shut your mouth will you?! My best friend shoots back. I slowly sit up giving her death glares.
"Suz you just said six hours, how much preparation do I need for a simple date?" I ask her in disbelief.
"Lots, now get up I'll be downstairs. Oh and don't wear any underwear." Before I could ask why she walks out of my room and closes the door behind her. I take a quick shower, throwing a grey sweatpants and a baby blue tank top. I walk downstairs to see Suz sitting on the sofa.
"Suz, why can't I wear underwear?" I give her a puzzled look.
"I'll tell you on the way, we're going to be late for your appointment if you don't hurry your ass up."
"I don't want to walk!" Suz bursts out laughing from my complaints.
"It will all be worth it, now r-run upstairs a-and get ready." She was like dying of laughter knowing I couldn't run.
"Shut the hell up, last time you talked me into getting a wax!" I yell at her then awkwardly run up the stairs. Now it's time to get ready, I walk into my bathroom straight to the shower. I wash my hair and shave in all the right places. I step out of the shower wrapping my towel around me, time to look hot.
I walk into my room to see Suz going through my closet.
"Um, where the hell are all your clothes?" I give her a dumbfounded look.
"Let me guess in the closet that your looking through."
"Good god, have you ever been shopping this year!" She asks in horror.
"You know that time a-around your birthday." I give her a weak smile.
"You do know that was last year, right?" I nervously chuckle and look down at my hands.
"Just shut up and pick something!" I tell her while walking to the bathroom putting on my favourite body kiwi lotion. I walk back into the room to see Suz laying an outfit out on my unmade bed.
"So, you likey?" I take a glance at the outfit.
"More like lovey?" I gaze at it then at her.
"Well then I guess it's time to get ready." I speak to Suz, hoping she didn't hear the shake in my voice. I put on the clothes making sure to put on a lace black bra and matching panties, to make me feel confident as Suz says.
"Oh. My. God. You look great!" I give her a big smile and walk in front of my mirror admiring my outfit. A nude pink crop top with blue washed high waist skinny jeans with a pair of white sandals.
"W-wow." My breath was taken.
"Don't you wow yet, we still have to do your hair and makeup." I take a deep breathe.
After about an hour later she turns me to face the mirror. I gasp in complete shock.
"You never stop amazing me." I tell Suz staring at that beautiful girl looking back at me through the mirror. She looks nothing like me. "I just know it's going to be a great date!"
