But why?

You were the light of my life,
The only reason I was alive.
You were a shining star,
The beauty I watched from afar.

But why?
Why did you have to leave?
Leave me alone in my dreams,
And leave me to mourn and grieve?

The grip of your hand loosens,
But I grab tighter.
Fumbling around in the illusion,
While the light just gets brighter.

You can't hold on any longer,
I can't leave your hand again.
Oh how I wish I were stronger,
I wish I could reduce the pain.

Everyday I die,
At the sight of you.
And every night,
I miss you.

But I feel it, as your life ends,
And I'll force myself not to cry.
Then onward you can descend,
But why?

But why...
