Hello! Fifth chapter and I started this yesterday - I'm probably gonna post this tomorrow. I would be on my fifth chapter in 2 days
I'm questioning how I have this motivation. Anyways, the art is not mine, once more, and a silly little reminder that the AU of Michael is also not mine. But Ashlyn and Amy are, because I came up with them on the spot.
Nonetheless, Onward!
TW: ghost???? Mental breakdown
----
It was 1 AM, and Michael was sleeping soundly in the bed. He was dreaming of something, something that calmed him. The blanket rose and fell slowly with each of his breaths. The dark room was barely lit by the moons' light, coming through the window. His clothing pile was still on the floor, giving Michael a scare or 2 about an hour ago, thinking it was some floor monster. His sketchbook was closed due to Michael shutting it before closing the light and laying in bed. The door was shut close, the dim hallway light glistening under its door crack. Jack had a nightlight in the hallway to help him see whenever he woke up at night. It was solar activated.
Michael woke up to a feeling. A feeling of a strange presence in the room. He blinked his eyes awake, the blurriness of sleep slowly disappearing. He yawned and sat up, rubbing his eyes. He looked forward, and in front of the closest was a small dog. It wasn't normal. It had white eyes and had purple fur. Its body wasn't normal. It was in blobs of shapes. It had a little bow-tie and a tophat on, cute. It gave off a small white glow, and it stared at Michael. Michael jumped slightly, shocking him.
"H-hello?" Michael called out, whisper tone.
The dog only blinked in reply.
"Wh- who are you?" Michael tilted his head, curious.
The dog blinked again, then got up from its sitting position and walked over to Michael's bedside. When it got there, it put its paws on the side of it and brought itself to rest its head on the bed. Michael shuffled so that he was sitting in front of it. He brought his hand out, cautiously, to stroke the doggos' head. It moved its head into his hand to get a better scritch.
Michael chuckled, "How did you get in here, puppy?"
The dog then jumped onto his bed, coming closer, sniffing him. Michael took into examination what it felt like. It felt soft, but it didn't appear to have fur. It was just a bunch of blobs of bright color, put in a pattern to show its form. Michael continued to scratch his head. After a little bit of sniffing, it moved its head straight up, Michael dropped his hand to his side.
"I know Jack." It said, it's voice seemed to echo, and it was faint.
Michael seemed taken back. It lifted its right paw to reveal a red collar around its wrist. The collar read "'BlackJack'"
"BlackJack," Michael responded, staring at the collar, "Jack's stray soul?"
The dog nodded its head, "Yes. When you get the chance, tell Jack, 'He's back. Meet me in the flipside.' He will understand immediently." It put its paw back down.
"Wait, who?" Michael said, seeing its form start to fade. "Who?!"
Michael grabbed at the dog, grabbing air as it had fully disappeared. He blinked a few times, confused about what just happened. His eyes started to adjust to the sudden darkness. He dropped his hand back to his side once more, trying to process it all. 'Who's back? Wait, didn't Jack say BlackJack had his happiest day?' He thought to himself. His thoughts responded with a yawn. He covered it with his hand. 'I suppose I will continue this tomorrow...' he thought to himself before laying his head on his pillow. He continued to think about the encounter before he started to feel sleep grip at his mind, causing him to fall victim to sleep.
