the story :

Jyp pov:

*my mom hesitated for a while this bothered me. Fear started eating me up "What if it was something bad?" my thoughts were interrupted by a sigh leaving my mother's mouth.

with a calm expression and a slow smile creeping up her face she begins "son...Me and your Appa has decided on something and we wanted to know your opinion."

*I look at her confusingly furrowing my brows and give her a sign to go on*

"We want you to get married son. "she says.

My eyes widen in shock. Marriage is something I've never thought about it was always something I tried avoiding as far as I could. It could disturb my work and work was most important and then taking care of my wife, children. Just thinking of it makes my head spin.

"But eomma, its a huge responsibility to get married" I get started only to get interrupted by my mother.

"I'm aware, son and i also know you'll be good at taking up the responsibility. I'm not leaving my precious son to rot all alone!!" she says.

"think about it and let me know by today evening. ok son??".

"but eomma-." I whine only to be cut off by my mother.

"You have time to think son. So, think about it and choose the right thing." she says calmly with a soft smile.

"yes, eomma. I'll think about it." I say and go downstairs to leave for work after waving her a goodbye. 

TIME SKIPP~

I enter my office located on the top floor of the massive building I own and seat myself on my chair to get greeted by my secretary, Gong Min-Ji.

"Good morning Mr. Park." she greets with a knowing smile.

"Your schedule for today is as follows................" and she goes on reading my schedule for the day before excusing herself and walking out my office to get me my morning coffee. 

*I get lost in the thoughts of my marriage yet again. I wanted my parents to be happy and I was pretty lonely too even though I was popular and had manyy friends.. after a debate about this with myself I decide to give it a chance and meet my to be partner and then decide whether I actually wanted to settle down or not and Afterall being a perfect son for my parents so far I couldn't disappoint them no matter what. Straight up saying No to their request was disrespectful as well. This gave me multiple reasons to actually give this a try.* 

I take up my SAMSUNG GALAXY S23 PRO ULTRA MAX ZOOM CAMERA and call my mom

jyp: Eomma, I'll give it a go. I'd like to meet the person you have in mind that is if you do and then decide whether I want to get married or not.

Jyp's eomma: "Sure, son. I knew you knew the best for you and that'd you'd make the right decision I'll send you the details of the person we have in mind and call their parents to set you guys up for a date!!" she squealed giggling which made my lips lift up slowly.

Jyp: All right then Eomma. I've got to go. I'll call later. I say and hang up leaving out a deep sigh. I'm going to regret this I think before I go back to the glowing screen in front of me.
