Steve felt himself floating in nothingness.

"Huh... where am I?"

He looked around, only to find nothingness around him.

"Am I... dead?"

"I'll always return to you, Mom, and dad"

"No... I can't be dead. I CAN'T BE DEAD! I need to go back, even from death..." Steve muttered as he focused on trying to feel his powers.

"Hm... I thought Lord Shiva overhyped you, but your determination speaks a great deal about you..." came a voice from behind him.

Steve turned around, coming face to face with one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen.

"Huh?" he muttered, confused as to who this person was.

"Wow, you're one of the few guys who aren't entranced by my beauty," she said with a smile as Steve's eye twitched.

"Wow, the level of cockiness," he deadpanned as she panicked.

"AH! I didn't mean it like that! It's just I've encountered a lot of people who become creepy or try to get close to me! I AM SORRY!" she panicked, causing Steve to giggle.

"Ah, you're cute though. Anyways, who're you?"

"D-don't tease me please... anyways, I'm Gabriel, an archangel, and sent by the Godly Societies to converse with you," she said, a blush adorning her cheeks due to embarrassment.

"Oh... wait... OH!" Steve yelped, surprised, making Gabriel laugh.

"Wait so am I dead?"

"Well... I guess... Kinda?" she said tilting her head.

"Stop being cute, it's a serious situation," said Steve with an emotionless face.

"H-hey! I was not trying to be cute, I just don't know!" she said making him laugh.

"I know, it's just funny seeing you embarrassed," he said between laughs making Gabriel giggle.

"You're mean," she said with glossy eyes and a pout making him pet her.

"Now now. Let's stop joking and get to the matter in hand. So I'm kinda dead. Why are you here? To guide me to the afterlife?" he said rubbing her head making her pur.

"S-stop, please! I'm an angel you know! Anyways, you're here because, well, we chose you as our representative," she said as he stopped and looked at her with suspicious eyes.

"Representative for what?" he asked as she got serious.

"First of all, let me apologize for letting you get taken by Ehit, an otherworldly god. I know it was ignorant of us gods, but please understand that the Law of Casualty stops us from directly interfering in the matters of the world, keeping us separate. Even right now, we're only able to interfere due to saving the lay-offs of the multiple times Ehit used his pawns to summon people from our world. Please accept ou- my apology!" she said, bowing in front of him, expecting him to blame them, the gods and angels for this, like every human did when something went wrong.
