Lea folded her arms across her chest.
"At nakuha mo pa talagang magtanong?!" She said and rolled her eyes. "I asked you one thing Sir Aga and yet I felt like you are more than willing to share information to my relatives back there."
"So now, were back with the formalities?" Aga asked raising a brow.
"If you're not keeping your end of the bargain, why would I?"
"I'm sorry." He said but Lea still look pissed. "From now on I'll keep my mouth shut."
"Well you better be sure or else, I'll send you home myself." She warned but stopped upon noticing the change in Aga's demeanor.
"You really don't want me here." He said, trying to sound casually but looking at her with his sad eyes.
"I just.. didn't expect that you'll be here." She sighed, frustrated that she's explaining herself to him.
Aga smiled to himself. "Is that why I feel that you are too conscious around me?" Aga asked with an air of cockiness.
Lea was surprised, her previous regards to his feelings is slowly being replaced with irritation. Of course she will be conscious, everything about this set up is awkward and he has the audacity to point it out to her face.
"Don't deny it, Lea. I told you why I wanted to stay. I want to spend more time with you and get to know you better so I'm entertaining your relatives' chats. But now that I noticed it, you seem to be very awkward around me. It's either you really don't want me here or you are feeling uneasy because you're starting to realize how likeable and awesome I am as a person."
Observing Lea's frown deepening, Aga was quick to take his words back. "I'm just playing with you. I'll behave, I promise." He said with his right hand raised before placing both hands on her shoulders, gently pushing Lea back to the living room.
"Get your hands off me!" She warned, brushing Aga's hands away.
She was sure Aga's still under the spell since he wouldn't be here if not, but the annoying Aga that she came to know is already showing. She counted in her mind, it has been more than three weeks since Aga drank the potion so it's effect might be wearing off. This is a good thing, right? She thought.
They walked side by side on the way to the living room and back was Lea's consciousness of the teasing glances they received. Aga on the other hand was all smiling and eased his was back to the conversation. Lea noticed that he really did make an effort into diverting the topic to anything other than them. He asked more questions about each of Lea's relatives, who openly shared stories with him, some of which she was only hearing now. It made her admire his ability to easily connect with people.
Later that night, Lea was compelled to show Aga around the town plaza. At first they were with some of her cousins but the devils left them alone to join their friends.
Lea simply watched as Aga jumped from one game to another at the nearby perya. When he tried almost everything he asked Lea if she wanted to try some rides with him but she constantly declined so they just ended up watching the pageant back at the plaza. Aga was surely enjoying the experience but he asked for an early night when he noticed that Lea is already looking sleepy. He knew how hard she works and this vacation is supposed to be her break and not some time to baby sit him.
"Let's go back." He said glancing at Lea.
"Are you sure? Saglit nalang matatapos na yung program."
"We both had a long day and medyo pagod na rin ako." He simply said.
They walked on their way back since it was just blocks away from Lea's house.
