Chris puts his earpiece it while he sits down on his bed, reading a book in silence. He didn't feel like putting on his shirt until it was time to go, plus he normally doesn't have a shirt on whenever he's home. After a while of waiting for Seungmin to come out of the bathroom, the boy speaks. "Chris? I need help..."
The raven looks up from his book and stares at the door before he stands up. The problem he had was not knowing what to do when he wanted to be someone's friend. So, when Seungmin was calling him into the bathroom he felt odd. He opens the door and Seungmin jumps. Honestly, he didn't know why he didn't at least hold the pants up before Chris walked in. But then again, he should have known the boy was just going to open the door without a warning.
Luckily Chris' shirt was big enough on him to cover everything. Chris just stares, and Seungmin quickly bends down to hold the pants up on himself. Like usual, Chris wasn't saying anything, so Seungmin had to explain why he needed help. "I can't get the belt on..."
The raven doesn't say anything, he doesn't nod, nothing. He taps Seungmin's hand to tell him to keep his hands on the pants. Chris grabs the belt off of the floor and pulls the boy up to him, reaching in between Seungmin's arms to put the belt through the first loop. But Chris still wasn't wearing a shirt, so Seungmin's face was pressed against his bare shoulder. And it didn't help that his hands were trailing along the brunette's waist, making his face grow red. As Chris put the belt through a few more, he hands it to Seungmin so he can do the rest.
Chris begins to walk away but the brunette grabs his wrist to stop him. Chris turns around, and for some reason the expression he had on his face was starting to bother Seungmin. He wanted to see the boy smile, hear him laugh, hear him talk, show any bit of emotion. But he didn't know why. Right now, Chris just seemed... dead. "...Thank you." He whispers. Still, he doesn't nod. Instead, he gently takes Seungmin's hand off of him and walks out.
The brunette sighs, putting the belt through the last few loops. And by the time he walks out Chris has on a grey turtleneck with a black flowy dress shirt on top. The first few buttons unbuttoned. Seungmin puts his shoes back on and runs through his hair with his fingers. Chris begins to walk out so that tells Seungmin to follow him. And once they get to the restaurant, they all go in at separate times.
Hyunjin and Felix first, Minho and Jisung, Changbin and Jeongin, then Chris and Seungmin. As Chris and Seungmin walk in, the waiter asks for their names. Chris wasn't saying anything, so the brunette speaks up. "Kim Seungmin and Christopher..." He didn't know the boy's last name, so he was hoping she knew who he was talking about.
"Kim Seungmin and Christopher Bahng?" She asks, the brunette looks up at Chris and he nods. The woman leads them to a table that had two chairs and weren't far from the others. Jisung leans to the left and waves to Seungmin so he could see him. Seungmin waves back with a small smile, and they all return to doing whatever they were doing. While sitting and looking at the menus, Seungmin noticed how fancy the place was. Dim lighting, a large chandelier hanging in the middle of the room, and big windows that let you see the outside. Not to mention
"Hi, my name is Yeji I'll be your server for today! Can I get you two started with some drinks?" Her smile was bright, and her hair was tied up in a high ponytail. Though when her eyes met Chris', her smile faltered a bit. Yet she didn't hesitate to replace it with an even wider one.
"Just water for me." Seungmin gives a small smile, and she nods, turning to Chris.
"And for you?" She waits a bit for his answer, but he doesn't say anything and just turns to stare at Seungmin.
"Um..." Seungmin mumbles. With Yeji looking at Chris and Chris looking at him, Seungmin felt awkward. "...I think a water for him too." She looks at Seungmin and nods once again while smiling.
"Alright! One moment!" She walks away and Seungmin turns to Chris with an annoyed look.
"Are you gonna keep acting like this?" He asks, and Chris still just stares. "You're basically not even here. So far when I'm with you... you make me feel like I'm alone. You don't even want to say a word to me or to anyone when I'm around." Seungmin had never felt this frustrated before. And what was even worse was that he's the kind of person to cry when he's mad or angry.
So as expected, the boy's eyes begin to well up. The slightest bit of surprise flashes across Chris' eyes, but it wasn't enough to be noticed. "Honestly if you don't want me here just say so." Seungmin was being quiet so none of the strangers in the building were paying attention. But the other 6 boys were listening in closely. However, when the first tear fell from Seungmin's eyes, Hyunjin was ready to get up and go fight someone.
But Felix grabs him and tells him to sit down. The blonde holds his phone up to his ear, and Hyunjin sees Chris hold his phone up as well. Then Felix only says two words. "Fix this." After a couple of seconds, Chris slips his phone back into his pocket and gently helps Seungmin stand out of his seat. The two were out of there in a matter of seconds. Then through the earpiece, Felix whispers so Hyunjin can't hear him. "We'll take care of the mission. You just take Seungmin home and apologize. It's time for you to use your words."
The ride back to the brunette's dorm was silent. Seungmin's crying had gotten worse, every time he wiped his face more tears wet it again. Chris has never known how to show his emotions, so once he ends up liking someone, it usually doesn't end well. But for some reason, throughout all of the tears that he's collected in the glass that rests in his hand. Seungmin's tears shatter the glass, and while some shards fall on the floor, others pierce him in his heart.
They get out of the car, and Chris walks with him to his dorm. However, Seungmin rushes inside before him. By the time Chris walked in, he was already lying on his bed with his back facing the raven. Chris sits on the floor by the boy's bed, he wanted to check if he was sleeping. But he could hear Seungmin silently trying to muffle his cries. Despite what Felix said, Chris began to pull the small notepad out of his pocket and write something on it to apologize to Seungmin. But then he remembered. Maybe Seungmin would stop being made at him if he really talked.
