Seungmin rushes out of the college, jumping on the bus. It was lucky that he remembered where the boy's house was, but there was no guarantee that he was there. Once he sits down, he sees someone. "Seokjin?" He calls out for him, and the man turns to him.
"Seungmin!" But when he walks closer, he takes note of the boy's expression. "What's wrong? You look nervous." Seungmin takes a deep breath, pressing his lips into a thin line.
"Me and my friend... got into a fight?"
"The one whose house you went to visit?" The younger nods. The whole bus ride, Seungmin's knee was bouncing up and down. Seokjin tried to comfort him, but it wasn't helping. When his stop came up, he says bye and runs out, all the way to Chris' building.
He was quick to go up the stairs and to the boy's door, but he didn't know how to get inside. Last time the door was just open, but this time it was locked. "Chris!" He knocks continuously. "Chris if you're in there please open the door!" As he keeps knocking, the door swings open and the raven drags him inside.
"WHAT?!" Seungmin flinches at the boy's loud tone. When the door closes behind him, Chris stares at him angrily. "What do you want?" He says, a bit quieter than last time but still intimidating.
"Don't avoid me I know you like me!"
"You don't. You don't know anything."
"Then why don't you just tell me what you're feeling?!"
"Because I can't!" The raven yells. "I don't laugh, I don't cry, I don't... feel. It's almost as if I don't have a heart." Seungmin shakes his head, walking closer to the boy.
"...Then why did you kiss me back?" Chris pauses, his angry demeanor crumbling a bit.
"I don't need to answer that."
"Give me something! Something that will tell me why you're acting like this! Please just-" Before he could finish, he feels something hard come across his face. Seungmin falls to the ground, his cheek burned and quickly turns red. The raven stares down at him, his cold glare fixed on the boy's face.
"Satisfied?" Seungmin's eyes quickly fill with tears, and they run down his face. His cheek hurt... it hurt so bad. He could tell that Chris was angry but angry enough to hit him? No. Seeing the boy cry, the raven snaps out of whatever fit of rage he was in.
He looks at Seungmin crying, holding his bruised cheek. He remembers the smile that was once on those trembling lips. He feels the sting on the palm of the hand that had slapped the one he loved. But for once in the time that Seungmin's known him, he felt truly... scared of the raven.
Seungmin gets up and runs out, and when he leaves the boy's house it was already raining and thundering hard. He goes back to the dorm and slips into his bed. Hyunjin was already sleeping, so he when he lies down, he tries to close his eyes. Yet, when the thunder would boom, Seungmin would flinch.
Hyunjin was still sleeping soundly, but he needed someone to talk to. About 2 hours had passed. He was tired, and he wanted to sleep so bad, but he couldn't. Seungmin takes out his phone, scrolling through his contacts when he lands on a name. Christopher Bahng. He knew that he was scared of him, but it was in the heat of the moment, and Seungmin didn't feel like bothering anyone else.
So, he calls the boy, having a strong feeling that he won't pick up. And he doesn't. So Seungmin calls again. This time, he picks up. "Hello?" The boy sounded tired, his voice was low, and it gave the brunette a warm feeling inside.
"Did I wake you...?" He whispers, and then silence greeted him. Just now he realized what he was doing. Why the hell was he calling him after what happened? The answer is, he just felt like something wasn't right. Seungmin felt like... he could understand whatever Chris was mad about and help him.
"No." The brunette sighs embarrassed now that he's about to ask this question.
"I just-" The thunder roars, making him stop mid-sentence. Seungmin takes a deep breath, trying again. "I can't sleep. Everyone else is already sleeping. So, I was wondering... if I could-"
"I'll come pick you up." Chris hangs up, and Seungmin gets out of bed. Slipping his shoes on and walking outside. For some reason he wasn't thinking about anything, his mind was blank. When he walks out, the rain pours on him, but he couldn't feel it. he just sat on the stairs, getting soaked by the rain.
The thunder rang in his ears, honestly, he just wanted to sleep. All of a sudden, he hears a horn honk, he looks up to see a black car parked in front of him. The windows were heavily tinted so he couldn't see inside. But after staring at it for some seconds he stands and opens the door, revealing Chris inside. Seungmin sits down, the rainwater soaking into the seat.
The raven grips the steering wheel, the night sky making it appear dark inside. "Why didn't you wait inside?" He asks, still sounding tired. Chris was wearing a black t-shirt and sweatpants which wasn't what he would normally wear. His curly hair was a bit more messy than usual, but that made it fluffy. He looks... cute.
"I wanted to see you." Seungmin looks at him. The brunette had red eyes, almost like he had been crying. And his hair was sticking to his forehead from the rain.
"You want to see the boy who hit you?"
"He didn't mean it." Chris sighs and pulls off, eventually they end up back at the raven's house. Once they get inside, Chris gives him clothes to change into. Basically, another shirt and pants that have drawstrings so they can actually fit around his waist.
Seungmin dries off, slipping the clothes on. For a moment he looks at himself in the mirror. The shirt hung low on his shoulders, showing his collarbones. The brunette noticed how tired he looked. But was it really just because it was late at night? Or was something else making him this way?
Seungmin leaves the bathroom, seeing Chris laying out a blanket on the ground. Was he making Seungmin sleep there? Was he really still so mad at him? "I'm sorry." He blurts out, and Chris glances at him.
"Why? I'm the one who got angry, I'm the one who hurt you. I'm sorry." He throws a pillow down next to the blanket. The boy gestures towards the bed, and Seungmin nods silently.
The brunette sits on the mattress, staring at Chris who's just standing there. "I'm really sorry. I took my anger out on you when I was the problem. I felt frustrated when I wanted to be around you. When you make me feel..." He hits his chest. "Weird... inside. I tried to distance myself, I tried to make it seem like your fault."
"I tried to hate you... because I love you."
