Macaque's P.O.V
Bath time is such a wonderful time to spend with your child, don't you think?Nope, not for me.
Anytime bath time rolls around for Y/n, she either tries to run away, lock me outside of my own home, or get dirty again right after I give her her bath.
Though locking me out of my home never works, I have my shadow portals to teleport back in. She continues to do it, I just don't tell her how I get back in, plus, it's funny seeing her confused about how I got back in.
She is trouble and a menace to more than just society, but I love my little monkey anyway.
Currently, I was in the kitchen while I made Y/n her bottle.
You might be wondering where Y/n is, we'll, she's in her playpen in the living room, watching Ninjago, again.
I decided to move the playpen from my dojo to the living room. Wouldn't want her getting her tiny little hands on a weapon and bonking me in the head again, like multiple times before.
As I made the bottle, I felt a tug on my pants.
I looked down to see Y/n. "What? Y/n, how'd you get out of your playpen?" I picked her up, placing her on my hip.
She babbles, reaching for the bottle.
I pulled it out of her reach. "Nope, not yet, I'm not done making it yet, you gotta wait."
"Eh!" She bonks my head.
"Hey, you can't wait just a little longer." I sat her in her highchair. "Now be a good little monkey and wait."
She huffed, gaining a pouty expression on her face, crossing her little arms.
I chuckled, smiling as I rolled my eyes playfully and went back to making her bottle.
When I finally finished making her bottle, I grabbed the mashed plums, setting both of them on the highchair's tray.
"There." I grabbed a spoon, trying to feed her the mashed plums. "Now open up, my little monkey."
She clamped her mouth shut, refusing to open it.
"Come on, little monkey, you love mashed plums, open wide." I pressed the spoon to her cheek, but she smacked it away.
My eyes widened as the spoonful of mashed plums hit me dead center in the face.
"Okay then..." I wiped it off my face. "Let's try this again."
I grabbed another spoonful, preparing for the worst.
A few moments later, both me and Y/n were covered in mashed plums, and so was the kitchen.
"You are definitely going to have to take a bath now." I wiped any excess mashed plums off my face and had shadow clones cleaning the kitchen.
When I turned back to Y/n in the highchair, I saw her trying to escape.
I caught her before she could fall, feeling her squirm around in my arms. "Ah, no, you're not trying to escape this time, little monkey, you are dirty, and you need a bath, do you hear me?"
She glared, biting my hand.
Frankly, I've gotten used to it when she decides to bite or nibble, it's honestly really cute when she's trying to be tough.
I held onto her wiggling body tight so she couldn't get away from me as I carried her upstairs.
I had already commanded a shadow clone to start a bath with warm water.
Now I was just trying to pick something out for her to wear.
"What do you want to wear, little monkey?" I asked her, but she turned her head away. "Fine, if you won't pick Ms. Grumpy Monkey, I will."
I rummaged through the clothes I had for her until I found that Six-Eared monkey onesie I got for her months ago.
Y/n perks her head up, babbling as she reaches for the onesie.
"Ah, so now you want to pick, I don't know, are you going to be a good little monkey and take a bath?" I held the onesie out to her.
She shook her tiny little head rapidly, grabbing the monkey onesie from me.
"I'll take that as a yes, now come on my little monkey, it's bath time." I started on our way to the bathroom.
_______________________________________Once in the bathroom, I slowly started lowering Y/n into the bathwater.
When Y/n was placed into the water, she started squirming and splashing around.
"I know you don't like baths, but maybe this will help." I grabbed a bottle of soap, and squirted the soap into the bathtub, watching a lot of bubbles start to form.
"Ooh." Y/n coos, watching all the bubbles float by, popping some here and there.
I smirked, getting an idea. I took a handful of soap, and put it on her face, making it look like she had a beard, but made of bubbles.
Y/n sneezes, the bubble beard dispersing.
My heart melted as her adorable little sneeze as I started scrubbing her hair.
A few minutes later, I was almost done with Y/n's bath.
The bubbles seemed to have kept her distracted as I rinsed the soap off her hair and her tiny baby body.
Once I ringside all the soap off, I grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her.
Sitting her on top of the sink counter, I quickly dried her off, placing her in the six-eared monkey onesie.
"Aw, look how cute you are." I gushed at her in the outfit.
I heard a click behind me, seeing one of my shadow clones with a camera, handing me a picture of Y/n in the onesie.
I picked her up, snuggling her. "Don't you feel better now after a nice and warm bath?"
She coos, burying her face in the crook of my neck.
"Yeah, you definitely feel better now."
I carry her back to my room, feeding her the bottle I made.
Humming a soft little tune as I rocked her back and forth, smiling as she curled up in my arms.
A/n-For next chapter, I'm debating between two things that you the reader can decide.
Do you want:
Sick Baby (Y/n gets sick, and Papa Macaque starts freaking out and gets worried)
Or...
Wandering Off (Macaque and Y/n go out, Y/n wonders Off, thinks she's sees her Papa, buts it not her Papa, and she ends up on Flower Fruit Mountain by mistake, and if you pick this one, it's reveal how Y/n was able to raise up from the dead on Macaque's Succesor)
Have a food day or night.
Next Up: Sick Baby or Wandering Off.
