I groaned at the sound of my alarm clock ringing in my ear. ''Bella get up or you're going to be late again!'' I stretched before leaving my bedroom ''I'm up'' I spoke bluntly having not being a morning person. ''So how'd it go then your first shift?'' Lyra questioned with a big grin on her face. ''You're way to happy in the morning'' I yawned before explaining my whole day to her. ''so you get paid for sitting on your ass all day? you lucky motherfucker'' Lyra spoke the jealousy very clear in her voice.

''wait so you haven't met Mr CEO yet?'' I shook my head in response as I finished getting ready. ''I don't want to meet him anyways I'd enjoy it if he didn't bother me at all'' I laughed faintly earning a glare from Lyra. ''don't be childish you're going to meet him eventually'' Lyra spoke up once again. ''I know I know but I'll do my best to dodge him until then'' I sighed grabbing my keys, ''I'll be home late again don't miss me too much'' I joked before leaving the house.

I finally made it to work, thankfully I wasn't late this time. I entered the building nodding at the receptionist from yesterday before entering the lift making my way to the top floor. I exited the lift. The office floor was quiet this time I'll assume not many people had access to the top floor and if they did then it seems it gets quite hectic. Faint sounds of chatter filled the open floor, but it looked as though most people kept to themselves which was good enough for me having not being very social. I sat down at my desk before looking for something to do.

''Morning Bella I'm glad to see you made it on time today'' Rachel spoke next to me I dropped my shoulders in a huff before turning around to face her. ''Yeah I'm glad I made it on time today'' I spoke quietly before turning back around to face my computer. Being the CEO's assistant really is a peace of piss and all I have to do today is prepare the meeting room before midday. Hopefully if I do it around 12 I'll manage to dodge the boss, I'm happy to work for someone I don't even need to acknowledge. Meaning I wont have orders barked at me or get fired considering I get quite mouthy.

I tapped my fingers on my desk growing impatient of the time before making my way to the meeting room. I filled jugs with icy water placing them symmetrically around the table before grabbing portfolios and placing them down around the seating area. I heard a knock at the door before someone walked in, ''You need to stay in here during the meeting I just thought to let you know'' Rachel spoke with a smile on her face. My face dropped and my shoulders slumped ''that's fantastic thank you for letting me know, for what reason though?'' My head tilted in a slight confusion.

''you have to take notes of basically everything and make sure the grouchy old men don't get dehydrated so keep their glasses full'' Rachel spoke up once again before exiting the room. Great I love to deal with old men along with the CEO. I fixed my clothes swiftly wiping them down and tugging at my skirt making sure it hadn't being riding up showing more skin than needs be.

I filled the glasses with water by now men in very expensive suits started entering the room taking their seats. One suit alone would cost me more than my wage, these men are extremely rich and far more upper class than me. I sighed before standing up straight and exiting the room grabbing a note pad and pen. I made my way back to the meeting room entering it quietly as the room was overfilled with older men, the only man to show face is the CEO now. I clutched onto the note pad as I rested my back against the wall awaiting for the boss's arrival.

The men stood up simultaneously, making my head tilt up to see a younger man entering the room. It was clear I was captivated by this man the men had all sat down and I was still stood watching this man's movements. He was tall, His build was quite lean not too muscly but their was definitely a nice body hidden under that suit, which hugged his arms so perfectly you could see even with the suit his muscle slightly bulging through. The way he moved so much power radiating off of him, he could say nothing and my body would still go on It's knees for him.

I shook away any thoughts as he sat down, He cleared his throat clearly getting ready to speak. I lowered my head to my note pad not wanting to look at him anymore. I thought the CEO was some old man.. fuck was I wrong. His voice ringed in my ears. It was deep with a sort of growl to it and the power that it held, I could feel my knees trying to go from underneath me, I used the wall to hold myself up as I listened to the men discuss whatever it was they were discussing.

I just made notes of things that sounded important to the best of my abilities but focusing became more and more difficult the more he spoke. I made rounds around the table every now and again filling up glasses with water, I got to the last man pouring the water and instead of getting it in the glass dropped it all over his lap. ''shit'' I muttered under my breath.

''sorry sir'' I spoke handing him paper towels. ''This is an expensive suit! are you not capable of doing your job right'' The man raised his voice shouting in my face. My hands balled into a fist as I bit my tongue not wanting to start an argument on my second day. ''all your good for is standing there and looking pretty stupid bitch'' He muttered low enough only for me to hear. Without thinking my hand raised up before swinging it across his face, ''water isn't going to damage your suit prick and if you want to insult me again you best do it when I cant hear'' I warned him, anger erupted through my body... I really do despise men.

I backed up back to my wall, eyes were on me from all angles but I could only feel one set of eyes burning a hole through my skull, I looked up making eye contact with the boss. His eyes had a glint of amusement, I kept his hard gaze on me before lowering my head back to my note pad.

I could feel my uneven pulse his gaze alone did something to me, my breath shortened as my mouth dried, I did my best to keep my cool I'd rather my boss not see me fold just because he's in my presence. Finally the meeting came to and end and the men exchanged hand shakes before leaving along with the CEO.

I let out a breath I didn't even realise I was holding in as I started clearing the meeting room before exiting it as well.
