Glittery glasses

So, I found these really cheap plastic sunglasses that are hipster style. So like any person would, I pushed the lenses out and started painting them. I only painted that frames, and even then not the inside ( the part that would touch my face ). But what paint did I use? Here are my trials and errors:

Acrylic paint: No. I couldn't mix the right shade, so I didn't really try it out on the sunglasses. I think it was really thin. Only for use on paper.

Fabric paint: Yes, I know plastic isn't a fabric. I just had the perfect color of fabric paint (perfect for Meenah Peixes's glasses). BUt it didn't go on that well. There were spots wear the true color of the glasses showed through, and it was weirdly bumpy in some places.

NAIL POLISH: yes! Do it! I got this idea from a sparkly glasses tutorial from an amazing blog called Rookie. Please go check it out. Anyways, I used different shades of pink nail polish, so it has a cool layered effect.

So after you let the base color of nail polish dry (overnight for me), you put a coat of sparkles on. Use a sparkly nail polish that works well with the base color. If you want it to look REALLY shiny and glossy, put a coat of clear polish on after. After that is dry, YOU'VE GOT SPARKLY GLASSES! Wear them proudly you huge dork.
