The Shark and The Siren (ON PAUSE)

Chapter 4:

As Sun and Moon were swimming through the cold waters, Sun began to get a familiar sense of his surroundings. They were nearing Captains Cove. "Hey! I recognize this area! We're on the seabed valley near Captains Cove!" Sun turns enthusiastically to Moon. "Oh? We are?" Moon looks below him to see sea grass and a little seaweed. "I guess we are."

Sun picked up his pace. He seemed to swim a lot faster now that he didn't have dead weight dragging him down, literally. Soon, Sun heard a familiar song being sung through the waters. It was his ex. Sun halted to a complete stop, and Moon caught up quickly. "Hey, you ok..?" Moon asks, placing a hand on Sun's shoulder as Sun looks around frantically. "No no no...we, we need to get out of here.." Sun mutters under his breath. Moon tilts his head.

"Leave? But aren't we close to Sirens Peek?" Moon questioned. Sun tuned him out. He felt the presence of his ex edging closer. "Sunny!!" A voice calls behind the Shark and Siren. Sun quickly turns around, and sees his ex. "Oh-oh...hi-, Monty..." Sun fiddles with his fingers, nervously. "Hey, baby. I haven't seen ya in, like, 5 years. That's too long if you ask me~" Monty drags his finger along Sun's chin. This triggered something in Moon. Something predatorial.

Moon smacks Monty's hand away, and puts himself between the two sirens. "Back off! Did he say you could touch him?" Moon has never acted this way. For anyone. Monty didn't like that, and pushed Moon aside. He grabbed Sun's arm and pulled him close. "He-hey!! Let go!" Sun tried pulling his arm away, but the Siren's grip was too strong. Monty grabs Sun's other arm, and wraps his tail around the bottom of Sun's tail. "C'mon~. I know you missed me~" As Monty spoke, Moon could feel a new, weird feeling brewing within him. Was this jealousy? "C'mon. Don't you wanna get back with a handsome, strong guy like me~. Golden scales like your own would look great alongside mine~" That's when Monty noticed Sun's bite mark. He began to growl. Moon noticed Monty distracted by the mark, and he took this opportunity to pry Monty off of Sun. "Wh- HEY!!" Monty tried fighting back, but Moon had a tight hold on him, and he bit down into Monty's shoulder. Monty roars in pain as blood begins to coat the water red. Moon didn't let go. Monty writhed in agony as Moon ripped a chunk of skin off Monty's shoulder. Blood pools into the water, and floats all around Monty's body. Moon wrapped himself around Sun, who watched in pure terror. Moon growls at Monty, who eventually swims away.

"You're not hurt, are you?" Moon began to check Sun's body frantically, making sure the other siren didn't hurt him in any way. "I-I'm ok. What about you..?" Sun gently held Moon, to calm him down. Moon let out a relieved sigh, and gently rested in Sun's arms. "I'm ok. Who was that guy anyways?" Moon fixed his posture, so he was upright. "Oh..hah. That..that was my ex..." Sun's ray-like fins angle back like how a dog's ears would pin back if upset. Moon let out a silent "ohh" and paused for a moment. "He seems like a bitch-." Sun couldn't help but let out a small snicker. "He was pretty abusive in the past.." Sun rubbed his arm. Fidgeting was always a nervous tic of Sun's. "Huh. Well. As long as I'm near you, he won't touch you ever again." Moon got closer to Sun. Sun couldn't help but blush a little.

"Shall we head to Siren's Peek, then?" Sun flicks the bottom on his fin. "Yeah, yeah let's go." Moon takes Sun's hand out of instinct and began to swim to Sirens Peek.
