I ate the crystal I had spent the last year creating.

There it is, a whole year of work down the drain, dissolving in my stomach.

I really hope this works.

I headed out the door, confident on my day.

I walked up the street, turned the corner, and walked some more.

"Is that Israel?" I heard a few yards behind me.

Crap. It was Carter.

I kept walking, trying not to give him any ideas.

"Come back, I just wanna talk little guy!" Carter was walking towards me faster now, trying to catch up.

Before I knew it he grabbed my shoulders and stood in front of me.

"How's your morning going, Ethan?" Carter asked, looking down on me. Carter and his friends were all over 6'1, and I was 5'9.

"Good." I replied, trying to wiggle out of his strong grip.

"Yeah? You're gonna have to give me some more details! I wanna know all about your morning."  Carter held me in place, trying to make me late for school.

"You have to get to school too, you know." I rolled my eyes, trying to pry his hands off of me.

"Yeah, but I don't give a crap as much as you do, because you don't really have a life." He smirked.

It was now or never.

I looked up and stared into his eyes, thinking about what body part or muscle I wanted to gain from him.

I placed my arm on his shoulder, wanting to take some of his height, maybe 2 inches to start out so I could really mess with him.

"Huh?" Carter furrowed his brow.

Shockingly, I felt energy being transferred into me, I felt my head getting higher off the ground, and saw his getting lower.

Carter had shrunk two inches. That would make him officially 6'2 or so.

"What the fuck?" Carter took his hands off his shoulders and stared at me, confused.

My mouth dropped in amazement.

Carter scrunched his eyebrows and walked away as I followed him to get to school.
