Sans's P.O.V.

I am preparing to meet with Papyrus. He's a real comedian and could make money with his humor. Maybe I should give him a suggestion.

Where I live in Snowdin is quite far from the beginning of Waterfall. I head out, thinking about where I could tell him to go. He would probably take me up on my recommendation.

Waterfall is beautiful, but so is Snowdin. Although cold, the snow sparkling in the sunlight as it falls, and the satisfying crunch of the snow is perfect to put anyone in a good mood. Including me. My eyes are stars and shining brightly. Nothing can ruin my perfect mood.

There's an awkward shift in scenery between Snowdin and Waterfall. The bright white snow cuts off to the deep blue flooring. It's quite a sight to see.

As I approach the edge of Snowdin, I notice that Papyrus isn't there. Maybe he's being lazy again, or I'm early. Either way, I can wait. I lie down on the snow and think about what I'm going to chat with him about.

I hear footsteps coming closer to me. I look up, and three teenagers are approaching me. They don't seem happy with someone or something. "Heh! Easy target, eh?" the middle one says. He has a smirk on his face.

"Hah, yep. Hey, punk! Come here! We got a bone ta pick with ya!" The one on the left snickers at his wordplay. The middle one groans.

"Jasper, I told you, we ain't doin' puns!" the middle one said, irritated.

    "Sorry, boss."

"Anyway," the middle one says as he grabs me by my shirt collar, "let's see if the little punk can survive this!" He throws a punch straight at my face. I feel my HP drop, and I can tell it left a mark.

The other two join in. The one named Jasper kicks me in the shin, and the other picks up a rock and throws it at me. My HP is too low for this. I feel myself getting weaker.

"Ah, he looks like he's about to dust. The poor little babybone gonna cry?" Yes. Yes, I am. The middle one shoves me down onto the ground and pushes me into the waterfall at the entrance to Waterfall. The water is just as freezing as it was since the last time I was in it, maybe even colder.

The bullies looked content with me and were about to leave, but they stopped. "hold it right there, kiddos. ya can't just beat someone up and expect ta walk away unscathed, numbskulls!" a familiar voice cries. Somehow, even extremely mad, he still sounds as calm as usual.

"Yeah? So whatcha gonna do about it?" the middle teen said.

"this." Bones flew past me and pinned the teens on the ground. Papyrus walked slowly up to them. "now listen here, ya little brats. torturing a kid ain't right, and you know that. ya're getting off easy this time."

"But-"

"no buts. even if he did something to you, which i can tell he didn't, it's wrong to just beat him up. if you had anything against him-" he glances at me and I shake my head- "ya coulda settled it some other way." The bullies were half scared, half ashamed. Papyrus was standing over them menacingly. He let the bones disappear and the bullies ran as fast as they could. For being a 15-year-old, he's pretty intimidating.

Papyrus ran over to me. I had forgotten that I was still sitting under that waterfall. He held out a hand for me to grab and pulled me out of the water. His hand felt warm, more than usual, and I realized I was cold and shivering. My HP was low, even for my standards. Papyrus is probably going to find out about my HP is 1. I hope he doesn't tell anyone.
