I used to be so confident, so sure that I could do anything but now I had doubts, less than a week ago I had been so sure that I would become the first female summoner of in the army of Sothessa, I had been so sure that I would be able to get William to like me back, but everything seemed to change when father was killed, I glanced back once when I was running away with Lester and now whenever I close my eyes all I see is my fathers broken body, the blood driping down onto the floor, the flaming sword sticking out of his chest and his golden crown tilted to the side, and the worst thing wasn't even what William had done, it was that I had run away, I hadn't tried to stop or fight anyone I just ran away with Lester.I had trusted William and then he tried to kill me, now I didn't know who to trust and this girl-Aria now wanted my trust, I clenched my fists tightly, my nails leaveing cresent shaped marks on my palms, it was to soon-to soon for me to have to try to trust someone again.
"Why do we need your help? Why should we listen to you? How do we know your not trying to trick us and make sure we don't go to Nethoss?"
Aria sighed. "Look I don't even know why you want to go to Nethoss and frankly I don't really care, I just-if you go to Nethoss-you just don't want to go, once you get there your going to regret not listening to me."
I was about to snap something at her untill Out of the corner of my eye I saw Lester step forward, "Why?" He asked, "Whats so bad about Nethoss."
"I-you know the queen and the Princess Isabelle?" She asked.
"Yeah of course, we visited them seven years ago," I replied.
"Well have you heard from them any time in the last two years?"
"No... Well every now and then."
"But much less then they used to right?" Aira asked.
Who was this girl? How did she know so much? It was killing me-not knowing how she knew all this. "How did you know that?" I demanded.
"I... I used to live on the southern border," She said, pausing, Aira took a deep breath. "Almost exactly two years ago what happened to Your country happened to mine except Fabien didn't make a big show with it, he made sure no one left and everyone who entered couldn't leave, well except me."
"Why would this so called Fabien even want to take over Nethoss?" I asked, Lester elbowed me in the ribs. I knew what I had said was rude but I had been rasied to think my country was the best, the strongest, the wealthiest.
"It's ok." Airia mumbled glancing at Lester, "The truth is Nethoss is actually a very strong plance we-they just aren't very interested in fighting and showing that off." I wanted to tell her we never showed off but in truth I knew we did, a lot.
"Nethoss has the biggest collection of gems in the known world, it's even said that under the capital is the biggest mine ever, filled to the brim with gems and the Spear of Earth is also supossed to be there, no one knows for sure though." She seemed to really like her country.
The boy-Archie spoke again, "The Spear of Earth? Somwhere in eastern Ulvorta is the Sword of the Winds."
Amilia spoke for the first time in a while, "My brother always said it was at the top of Mount Talon, he said our uncle saw it himself, but ended up leaving it there for some reason."
I was getting more and more frustrated not knowing what this Sword of the wind thingy was. "Wait, whats the sword of the wind?" I asked.
Beside me Lester sighed, "the sword of the winds, sis. don't you pay attention?"
"Well... I mean... History is real boring," I told him.
Across from me Aira snorted and I glared at her, "Well if your so high and mighty why don't you tell me what this sword of the winds are?" I asked her.
