I felt someone gently shake my shoulder, "ugh I neeb ma sweeep." I mumbled.

"Lester it's your turn for watch." My eyes flickered open then I quickly tightly shut them, about half my face was compressed in dirt, I had rolled off my blanket and into a lot of dirt sometime in the night.

I rolled onto my back, "whaaa?"

"Lester shut up or i'll make you shut up," My sister hissed from where she lay beside me.

"Huh? i'm up, i'm up." The shock of hearing my sisters voice in the middle of the night was scary enough to wake me up.

"So I was thinking you could wake Amilia up in maybe three or four hours for her watch." Aira said.

My eyes slowly adjusted to how little light there was and I saw Aira sitting infront of me, I couldn't help but notice how pretty she looked at night, her eyes seemed to almost shine in the moonlight and her caramel coloured hair looked silver.

"Oh, uh yeah, i'll do that,"

"Kay," she said staring at me as awkward silence filled the air.

"I guess i'll see you i'm the morning?"

"Yeah, have a nice... watch." Aira wispered, laying down.

I pulled my arms around my legs watching the stars to keep me distracted, but watching stars isn't that distracting so my mind traveled to some recent advents aka William I had trusted him with everything and I couldn't help but wonder how many of those secrets he had spilled, I remembered Brianna's heartbroken expression as she realized what he did, I guess my big brother instinct kicked in cause I had never felt more like protecting her and hurting William, trying to keep my thoughts from wandering I tried listening to th forest and I couldn't help but notice how alive the forest was, insects buzzed and chirped.

I countinued just listening and fidgeting with a stick I had found to keep myself busy for the next few hours till I woke Amilia up and went back to bed.

I woke up my someone, someone being my sister wispering "Wakey wakey," into my ear.

"I'm up, i'm up." I told her, shoving her away so I could crawl out from under my blanket, after rolling by blanket up I tried to get it into one of the saddle bags that where on one of horse.

"Need help with that?" I turned to find Aira standing beside me.

"Oh, sure."

Taking the blanket from me she manged to stuff it into the bag shockingly fast.

"Well that was fast." I said.

"Thanks."

"No problem." I answered.

I wached as she tied the bag closed.

"Why do you dress like that?" I asked her.

"Like what?" She replied.

"Like its winter, I mean you must be boiling in that coat."

"Yeah.. I don't really have anything else to wear though."

"Oh..." I suddenly realized what a dumb question that was. "So... uh, how'd you find Archie or did you two grow up together? Whats his story?"

"I don't know all that much, he was so upset when I found him but I know Summoners killed his parents."

"I guess we have that in common," I said bitterly, glancing around, Archie, Amilia and Brianna where all folding up their blankets. "All of our stories are kind of the same."

"Really? How?"

"Well all of our lifes have been wrecked by Summoners and their dumb power and we've all lost everything we care about."

I watched as Aira turned her head and stared into the forest, "you haven't, Brianna hasn't."

"What do you mean?"

"You and Brianna still have eachother." Her tone was shockingly harsh and as she turned back around I couldn't help but notice tears shining in the corners of her eyes, "you have no idea what its like to lose absolutely everything."

I didn't know how to respond to that.

"Lester, Aira! Are you ready to go?" Brianna shouted.

"Yeah, we're coming." I answered.

We rode in silence for a few hour untill we came to a village, the villages gate where locked with a chain and the iron bars where rusted and dented, one good kick would probably knock it down in a second.

"This is the only village between here and Mount Talon, me and Brianna figured we should stop and buy food."

Well that was suprising, Biranna and Aira where getting along when they'd done nothing but argue since they first layed eyes on eachother.

"We should probably split up." I was kinda suprised that Amilia spoke, I hadn't really heard her speak since the night before.

"Yeah, good idea, three of us could get food and two of us could get thicker blankets stuff for the horses and water." Brianna said, we all nodded.

"I'm going with Aira." Archie immediatly clamed.

"Ok, Amilia can join you two aswell, i'll go with Lester," my sister said.

"Ok," Aira said.
