Part 15

Lando

As Y/N, Luzie, Oscar and i arrived at the Paddock  Paparazzi and Reporters immediately crowded us.
„Y/N was it Lando who you were spotted with in Spain?"
„Lando are the rumors of you Leaving McLaren True?"
„Y/N is it true that Charles cheated on Charlotte?"
„Lando was it Y/N you were spotted with while enjoying your summer in Spain?"

Ugh will they ever stop asking about our private lives? „Hey how would you feel if someone constantly asks you about your life? Huh not that good of a feeling right? Now would you please leave us alone?!" Y/N screamed at them still calm and neutral. As we got into the Hospitalitys we finally had some privacy. „Could you read my mind back then with the Paparazzi and the Reporters?" i asked Y/N. She looked at me confused. „What do you mean?" she asked. I smiled. „Well you said exactly what i thought!" i replied. She just laughed. I love that laugh. „Yeah well if someones overstepping with their questions i get mad that's just human right?" she asked. I just nodded enjoying her presence. „Lando? Hello? Honeypie? Are you there?" Y/N asked me waving her hand in front of my face. I didn't even realize that we were in my drivers room by now. „Yeah did you say something?" i said confused. „You need to go to the track the drivers parade is about to start!" she said laughing. „Yeah right uhm you go out there first we'll see each other down there!" i said quicly grabbing my bucket hat. As Y/N went out i waited a few more seconds until i went out to the parade wagon. I saw how she looked at the wagon waiting for me to get there. She talked to jarv. I just know these two are going to be the bestest of friends ever.

Y/N POV

While i was waiting for Lando to get on that wagon i talked to Jarv about the Engineering class. „How hard was the University for you?" I approached him. He looked at me confused for a second. „Ohh well you know it was a 3 year class so... well it wasn't easy but also if you know a thing or two about cars it's not hard at all. Why?" he asked me. „Well i was thinking about changing classes you know.. i mean i love music really i love what i do but i always watched my brothers while karting and i look a the cars and i am just in love.. i could never race myself or find myself under a car working on it but i think engineering could be my passion!" i explained. Jarv nodded. „Yeah well you're a smart girl! You can do it!" he hyped me up. I smiled. I heard the cameras clicking as the parade wagon drive by the garages.

[One Year Later]

I was so nervous... i had my interview for the internship at McLaren. I entered the Technology Center and walked to the Reception. The Lady there was really sweet. „Welcome what can i do for you?" she asked. I smiled nervously. „Hi uhm i have an appointment with Mr. Brown?" i said more asking. She smiled noticing that i am pretty nervous. „Ah yes follow me please... you don't have to be nervous Zak is really cool!" she smiled and started walking towards an office wich i assume was Mr. Browns. She knocked two times and then walked inside. I heard a really quiet "Miss Leclerc is here" and an "alright Lucy you can send her in" before Lucy came out and heöd the door open. I gave her a quick smile before i walked into the office and just stood there quietly. „Hello Y/N sit down please no need to be formal you can call me Zak!" he said smiling. „Thank you Sir- i mean Mr. Brown i mean Zak! Thank you Zak..." i laughed it off. God is this embarrassing. I mean lando told me at home that i really don't need to be formal but this is all new territory for me. „Tell me something about you Y/N apart from the obvious that you're studying engineering!" he said. I smiled. „Well i started off studying music 3 years ago but realized that engineering is more for me so i decided to do that and recording songs on the side. Actually Lando and my brothers were the ones that made me realize this.... I know that it's almost winter break but i am hoping for that internship next season so i can learn and see as much as i can!" i replied trying not to bore him. „No Y/N i want to know about your hobbies and passions not why you chose this!" Zak shook his head. I swallowed hard. „Well i love singing and i do love to play golf with some friends from time to time also i am pretty okay at art..." i tried again, this time a smile appeared on Zaks face. „Oh what's your handicap?" zak asked. „Well i played since i was 16 and with a course of 18 holes i am at 23 currently!" i replied. Zak gave me the -Not bad- look. „Well from your application and your appearance i am very happy to welcome you at the papaya family by the start of the next season! We start at February 3rd! Lucy will send you your passes and everything a week before, you'll get a work scedule for three months, the employee passes for the Technology centre and the staff passes for the paddocks!" Zak said standing up holding his hand out. I stood up aswell and shaked his hand. „Thank you Mr- i mean Zak! I will not let you down!" i laughed at my mistake again. He showed my the way out the building again cause this thing is fucking massive so i amde my way back home to Lando.

„Babeeee i'm Home!" i shouted as i closed the door. He didn't reply so i just walked through his- well now our apartment. I found him inside the Gaming/Streaming room. „There you are! Oh hi Max!" i laughed as i found him. „Hi Y/N!" Max replied. „Hey Princess!" lando said as he got up and gave me a kiss. Max was talking to the stream chat at that point and they completely freaked out all over again. Lando and i made our relationship public half a year ago and they still didn't get used to us. Lando sat down again and i sat down on his lap. „So how did your interview go?" he asked. I smiled. „Looks like i'll travel with you the next full season!" i smiled. He immediately hugged me tight. Max gave me a bright smile. „That's awesome Y/N!" Max said. Even the chat was happy for me. I was just Happy through the whole stream. We talked about the most random things until Lando and i got really tired. As we went to bed we mocked each other for a little bit and then fell asleep.
