Izuku and Katsuki have always been toppers of the class, competing against each other, they've always been trying to get ahead of each other, one day they had a math test, which was gonna be worth 40 percent of their grade that they'll receive the next day, both of them gave their best, making sure each and every question was read properly.
But there was this thing, Izuku liked Katsuki, and I don't mean just like, he like liked Katsuki very much, and he didn't know how to express it, and the math exam seemed like a perfect time to express it, just when Izuku reached the last question, he thought, why not let Katsuki get ahead of him to keep Katsuki happy?
So he left the last question, knowing he'd get a 99 while Katsuki got a full 100, he softly smiled as he submitted his paper, he'd see Katsuki smile again.
-next day-
The results were out, everyone knew the both of them would top, like every other year, except Katsuki was jumping staring at his paper
"HEY IZUKU!" he called the greenette during lunch, Izuku looked back at the blonde as he says
"What?"
"I got a hundred! Suck on that!" He said as he smiled sticking out the paper for Izuku to see, but he never knew that Izuku skipped a question just to make him happy.
