44 - Bonus 1 - Down Under

- Good evening.
I apologize for interrupting your dinner. You don't know me, but I know someone who lived here many years ago. May I have a few minutes of your time?

Hyunjin apparently has a golden manager who managed to find Felix's old home in Perth. It took a few weeks of work with a local real estate agent, but he found it!
Okay, so the manager also promised that Hyunjin would stop by agent's office when visiting town (owner's daughter is a fan), but that's a small price to pay.

Right now, Felix and Hyunjin are in a back seat of a car, on their way to Felix's old house, and Felix is shaking.
Literally vibrating.
Hyunjin even put his legs on top of Felix's, and embraced him, but that just made Hyunjin shake too.

- This is it, Felix. Are you okay?

- Yes. Yes. Mhm. Yes.

Hyunjin knocks at the door, and Felix politely greets:

- Good evening. Thank you s—-

- Felix!!!!!!!

The person opening the door throws himself at Felix, hugs him, and lifts him off the ground.
- Felix is heah!!!!!!

Hyunjin looks left, right, sees Felix going up, and is already reaching for his phone to call manager, security, whoever... when he sees three more people barging through the door and hugging both Felix and the big man who picked him off the floor.

- Mate, we've been waiting for you for so long! You are heah!!! Oh look at ya!

Felix is gently put down, and now some little kids pop up at the doorway and inspect Hyunjin:

- Who are you? - A freckled little girl asks Hyunjin. She gives him a side eye, and frowns a bit.

- Oh, I'm just a friend.

- Come inside, come, both of you. - someone orders and pushes them in.

Well, inside looks like a big party: balloons, food, a "welcome back" sign, and so many excited people. Most of them could be just about Felix's age, but there are also little kids and few older people.

A gray-hair lady is crying her heart out. She apologizes, wipes off her face, comes closer, and says:

- Felix, I was your teacher, Ms Johnson.

Felix stands frozen, unable to process everything at once, so Hyunjin gently takes his hand. Having Hyunjin's hand securely by his side, makes Felix relax, so he starts crying too.

It's a happy-tears-hugging party. Everybody is crying, smiling, hugging...
They all talk to Felix at the same time. Hyunjin just keeps an eye on blond hair to make sure he doesn't lose him in a crowd.

And a little girl... she keeps eyes on Hyunjin, still slightly judging him, but also smiling.

- You wanth tho be my friend? - she asks, and leaves him speechless.

The huge guy who lifted Felix off the ground earlier is apparently a skinny, sickly kid who used to live next door, and walk with Felix to school each day. Little toddlers are his kids.

A freckled girl's mom had a crush on Felix, and married him when they were just five. They had bridesmates and all, it was a big ceremony at their kindergarten.

Other people are his old classmates, friends, neighbors... everyone tells how sad they were when Felix suddenly left. Happiness in their eyes is so big, eventually even Hyunjin tears up.

Felix basks in this feeling of belonging somewhere, having a family. Even though they are not related by blood or connected by a last name, it is family for sure. And he just got like 25 family members at once.

They offer them to stay all night, but Hyunlix duo politely declines because they have a midnight flight to catch and make it back to Sydney for a concert.

Hyunjin's phone rings. It's Chan, so he moves away from the crowd, and takes the call.

- Chan, you Australians are something else. They almost smooshed Felix with all the hugs and love. I thought it was just you, but it seems that hugging is a love language here.

- Yeah, very true. We hug a lot.
I'm just checking to see is everything ok, you know, to make sure you don't accidentally forget your flight back.

- Don't worry, we'll be there.
But hey... you're not getting away so easily! How is everything going on there?

- Oh, man, I lost my family over Marcel... It's like "Hi, Chan, good to see you", and then they just talk to him, pamper him, melt on his French accent... I shouldn't bring him with me any more. Hannah literally can't stop staring at his eyes. Apparently he's dope and she's dying.

- I know the feeling. I'm completely ignored right now.
Do you think that's how they feel when we're with our fans?

- I don't know, maybe.
Only Berry loves me more, right Berry?

- Well, at least you have Berry with you. You should have seen the excitement here. It's like a big wedding party with all his friends.

- What? You're having a wedding???

- No, dummy. My signal is not good.
No wedding.
Well, not today.

- What??? Today???

- Crap Chan, are you joking, or you can't hear me well?

- Man, if I knew you were getting married today, I'd organize something for you two...!!!

- You got to be kidding me.

- Yeah, yeah, sue me.
Who am I going to tease if not you?

- I don't know... Marcel?

- I can't tease him, he's too good looking. And I don't want to get ditched.

- You're getting hitched? Does your family know??

- Sure, sure... see you tomorrow.

- Bye Channie.

Hyunjin ends the call, and smiles at Chan's silliness.

"A wedding... what a fool...
As if we could get married.

I mean, technically, we could.
Here, in Australia.
If we wanted to.

Maybe we want to.

Maybe we will."

He looks back at the crowd, and smiles seeing Felix. He's charming all these people at once. Felix didn't even know what effect he had made on this little community, as a kid. They love him so much, it's beautiful.

The little girl sits next to Hyunjin, and asks him to read her a book. He suddenly feels so protective of her, like it's the most important task in a world to make sure she's happy.
"This Australia trip is making me feel all sorts of ways."

Felix watches this cute interaction between the two, and thinks how beautiful Hyunjin looks right now.
With a little kid by his side.

Their eyes meet.

Hyunjin, overwhelmed by the whole experience, just mouths "I love you".

Felix whispers back "I love you too".
