Chapter 1: The Princess and the Commoner

---30 years ago

"...I loved him father please." The princess begged at his father not to hurt the man she loves. "Father please, I'll do anything! please just don't hurt him."

His father remained stoic, he's so mad at the Gardener for taking advantage of his daughter.

"Marry Duke Frego's son, mi hija and leave the palace as soon as possible." his heart break as soon as he said those words.

No father wanted to be away from their daughter especially his beloved daughter but he had to in order to save his families reputation.

"No!! Father please anything! anyone for that matter, just not Lord Francisco. please father!"

but his father remained impassive, he instructed one of his men to take the princess to her room. Where she stayed for 2 weeks worried and scared of what happened to her lover.

"My Lady, you have a visitor." one of the maids said but The princess remained sitted on the middle of her bed hugging her knees.

The maid guided the visitor inside.

"You may leave us." as soon as The princess heard that voice she looked at the person inside her room with such fear. She wanted to scream and run away but she felt stuck as soon as those two dark eyes looked at her.

A light chuckle filled the room. "Looks like your father has a change of hearts about us, my princess. Him and my Father are already talking about our wedding, isn't it exciting?" he smiled proudly and viciously. "You're mine Sandra, you already promised yourself to me."

Princess Sandra, got up the courage to shot glares at the duke's son. "I'd rather die that marry you, you jerk!"

He laughed like the princess words amuse him. "It's not you who's gonna die, mi amor. it's not you, i'll make sure of that."

the princess eyes filled with fear once again as she processed what he said. "N-No.. d-don't touch him!!" she shouted at the Duke's son. "Please" she was about to kneel and beg when the door to her room burst open.

"Mi Hermana! what happe--.. Lord Francisco, what are you doing here?" Prince Greggory asked when he saw Lord Fransisco inside his sister's room. "Who guided you up here?"

"Greetings Prince Greggory." he bowed. "I asked one of the maids to take me up. I just wanted to visit Princess Sandra, and see for myself how she was doing."

Prince Greggory looked at her sister and back at Lord Fransisco. "My sister isn't fit to have visitors right now, if you won't mind please leave us." Greggory guided the Lord out before closing the door and hugging her sister who's now crying.

"Greggory please, talk to father. I don't wanna marry Lord Fransisco please... pleasee.." Princess Sandra pleaded in between her sobs.

"I'll do my best but for the meantime, I want to tell you something." He said the princess then looked at him hoping.

"is it about Harold? How is he? where is he?" she asked desperately.

Greggory sighed. "Father paid him a good amount to leave and to never speak to anyone about what happened but he choose to stay,... right now he is imprisoned in the dungeon."

Worries filled the princess eyes once again. "Take me to pàpà, I need to speak to him this instant" she tried to got up but failed miserably.

"Mi hermana please. take care of yourself for now. I'm gonna talk to father and came up with solution on how to send Harold away from father. "
