You immediately jump up after hearing Karma say that the window was locked. You tried to get the widow to budge, but it was jammed. The footsteps were closer.
Karma wouldn't have enough time to make it out of the room in time....

The closet! There was a supply closet in the room.
The footsteps got even closer.
Without even thinking, you grab Karma by the collar and drag him to the closet and shove him in.
"Don't make any noise and don't come out til I get you." You stated in a hushed voice before Karma looked like he was about to say something but then just nodded as he made a place to hide. 

You shut the door and walked back to your desk and pretended you were working. The moment you were in place, the door opened. "Oh well, if it isn't, it is The Beauty of the School!" You mentally cringed at the nickname the school gave you." Good morning to you to Ren." " Aww! You don't seem happy to see me?" Ren was one of the more annoying members of the Student Counsel flirting was his favorite past time no one was safe. Not even you, it was honestly surprising how Gakushuu hasn't killed him with all the times he's tried to make a move on you in front of him. Not that he hadn't thought about it. You honestly couldn't tell if he was brave or just plain stupid. His "outgoing" personality was hard for anyone to get used to. Especially you, he was too outgoing. Which one made you weirdly suspicious of him, and two, it made him really obnoxious he was practically like a toddler always in need of attention. "Anyways, what do you need? You normally don't come here this early." You ask going back to writing and moving the papers."I'm looking for a red-headed class 3E rat that put wasabi in my water! HOW DID HE PUT WASOBI IN MY WATER?!"  At this moment, Ren was in going full detective mode on how he managed that if he had his bottle on him at all times. No doubt the reason he was able to do that was because of what you guys learned in class. "You mean Karma?" You ask not looking up from the papers "Yes of course, I mean Akaba- did you just call him Karma?" Ren asks with wide eyes spinning around to face you. Frick how can I explain this? "Are you close with him?!" Ren asked, shocked at the mere thought of that. Frick Frick Frick if he tells Gakushuu you're dead! "No, of course not. Don't be ridiculous." It hurt you to say this. Why did it hurt? It was true you weren't close with him at all. "But why did you call him by-" " Ren, there's no need for stupid questions. If you don't have any you need here, you can search for Kar- Akabane elsewhere." "Oh, um ok. If you see him, let me know, beautiful!" Ren said while leaving the room. You sighed at the nickname and got up to open the closet door. When you reached the door, you almost didn't want to open it. Ren's comment made you realize once again how different you were, especially compared to Akabane. You didn't even know him well. Are you friends, acquittances, or enemies? Was this all an act? "Kar- Akabane, you can come out now." You told him not to opening the door....
