A/N: TW: yelling, violence, blood, death, fighting

As the two swam through the waters, Sun began to question why Moon had protected him from his Ex.

"Hey, uhm..Moon?" Sun says, turning his head to Moon. "Yeah?" Moon looks at Sun. "Why..why did you protect me from Monty back there..?" Sun gently squeezed Moon's hand, awaiting his answer.

"He..he shouldn't have touched you the way he did. It triggered some sort of...protective instinct in me, ya know?" Moon squeezes back in return, causing Sun to blush. "Ok, understandable. I-I probably would have done the same thing." Sun looked away, still slightly blushing. Moon's eyes widen and his eyes began to sparkle. "Really? You...you'd protect a low life of a Shark like me..?" Moon smiles. "You're not a low life. You're above that." Sun's back spine flicks up and flattens again. Moon chuckles and blushes.

"You really think so..? Most people find me scary, or disgusting." Moon's attitude drops to a upset, or depressed tone. "What?? I mean, when we first encountered, yeah I got scared of you, but seeing how you didn't mean any harm towards me, I grew to like you." Sun quickly caught on to what he was saying, and blushed harder.

"I-I mean as a friend ya know?? Yo-you're awesome!!" He tried to play it cool. Moon chuckles a little. "Well, I like you too. "As a friend"." He gently rubbed Sun's hand with his thumb. Sun looked down at his hand. "Why are we holding hands—?" He asks. Moon realized he was probably holding Sun's hand too long, and quickly let go.

"Sorry.." he rubs his own hand. Sun looks at his hand, and reaches for Moon's, gently taking it into his own. "I liked it~" He gave a warm smile. Moon returned the smile, and they continued on their path to Sirens Peek.

"So, what's Sirens Peek like?" Moon asks. Sun glanced, and his face dropped a little. "Well, I mean. Our king isn't the nicest, and punishes anyone for breaking laws. He throws them into a cellar, or the dungeons. A lot of my friends are down there for simply talking to a Shark." Sun realized that he was breaking a law by interacting with Moon. "Oh!! Shoot shoot!! I'm gonna get thrown down there!!" He stops dead in his tracks and panics.

"Hey, hey. Calm down. How will this "king" even find out you talked to me?" Moon placed his hand on Sun's shoulder to calm him down. "He will find out!! He always does! Uhhh! Why did I have to go to the shiny..?" Sun curls into himself, still panicking. "Shiny? You mean that spear?" Moon continues to comfort Sun. Sun nods. "Was that a trap?!" He pushed Moon away. Sun was now being defensive. "You...you placed that there!! You tricked me!" Sun yells. Moon looked confused as all ever. "What?! I didn't put it there! I was heading to find out what it was, too! Just like you!!" Moon yells back.

"Oh, BS! You Sharks are always known for trickery and manipulation!! Was that a part of your plan!? To make me fall in love with you, just so you could see me suffer my kings wrath?!" Sun continues to yell.

"No!! I wasn't even aware you loved me!! Wait-...you...love me..?" Moons voice hushed down. "Yes, and I can't believe I did.." Sun scowls. "I think it's best if I continue my journey alone. Have a good day, Moon." Sun swam off without giving Moon a chance to speak. Moon just sat in silence as he watched Sun swim off. 'He loves me?' Moon thought to himself. "Sunny! Wait!!" Moon calls, and reaches to him. He took off after Sun. "Sun! Listen!!" He grabbed the bottom of Sun's tail, and Sun turned around.

"What, Moon?" Sun snaps. Moon finches back at Sun using a strong voice on him. "You..you didn't even give me a chance to speak. Listen, it wasn't a trick. I didn't even know you could see the old spear, ok? I wasn't even aware of your presence. I just saw the glint of the spear, and swam towards it." Moon let go of Sun, and swam up to meet him face to face. "You think for a second I'm going to believe that?!" Sun points at Moon, still being aggressive. "Do you really think all Sharks are manipulating?!" Moon snaps back at Sun, causing him to flinch back with fear. "If I'm so manipulating, why am I helping you get home?! I am literally risking myself, just so you can be at your house, cozy!!" Moon inched closer to Sun. Sun only remained still, frozen with slight fear. Sun looked away from Moon. "That's what I thought." Moon crossed his arms.

"Moon I-" Sun began, but was interrupted by Moon. "Forget it. I'll be heading home now. Good luck." He brushes past Sun. "Moony, wait.." Sun turns, but then was interrupted by his stomach growling. He hadn't eaten for the past 2 days. Moon turns, and gave him a confused look. "What was that?" He chuckles, still looking at Sun. Sun turns away and blushed of embarrassment. "Hungry. It-it's fine though. Sailors don't normally come out this far into sea." He gave a nervous chuckle.

"Sailors? As in Humans? You interact with Humans!? Are you nuts?!!" Moon grabs Sun's shoulders and shakes him. "Woah, woah. Easy, easy!!" Sun giggled. "We, Sirens, eat humans. Ok? Have- ohh! Have you ever tried Human before!! It tastes like fish, but but a little more metallic due to their warm blood! It's an addictive taste, and you have to try it!!" Sun was fan-girling over the taste of Human.

"Does sound enticing. I'll have to try it someday." Moon chuckles. "Oh!! Oh oh! How about now!? We're close to Captains Cove, and humans normally fish here. C'mon!" Sun darts towards the rocks of Captains Cove, and Moon follows closely behind. Sun found a perfect perching rock, and climbs onto it. Moon gently tugs at Sun's tail, and points down. He wanted Sun to come back into the water. Sun hopped off the rock, and dove into the water, and looked at Moon.

"Yes?" He tilts his head. "Aren't you afraid of getting spotted? I mean, you're pretty bright." Moon bushed his hand along Sun's bright scales, and Sun giggles. "Hey now! Stop that!! I want to be spotted. It's how Sirens lure sailors. Aside our voices of course. C'mon! You don't need to come up on the rock, you can watch from below." Sun climbed back up onto the rock, and Moon stayed under. After a bit, Sun spotted a far away ship, and began to sing a jealous that was hypnotic to Moon. Moon just wanted to be closer to Sun at that moment.

After a bit, the ship and gotten closer, and Sun retreated into the water, still singing. It could still be heard on the surface. Some sailors were yelling at others not to jump in, but two had already dove into the water. That's when the singing had stopped. Sun creepy up behind the first sailor, and sung a hushed melody, making the sailor follow him deeper into the waters. Both sailors had, actually. Moon, hypnotized by Sun's voice, also followed.

Once Sun had them far down to the point they'd drown if they tried to swim back up, he attacks, snapping Moon, and the two sailors, out of their trance. Sun had his tail wrapped around one of the sailors, and bit down on his neck. There was a loud SNAP, and the sailor float there, dead. Blood began to pour out of the sailors mouth and neck from the bite, and it drifted into the waters. Moon could smell the blood, and fell in love with the scent. Sun pushed that sailor over to Moon, and swam to the one that was trying to swim away. He caught up, and did the same thing. Sun took them low to a cave, and waited for Moon. Moon toon the other, and swam down to Sun.

"Ta-da~. That's how we hunt." Sun smiled, and bit a chunk out of the human. "Are you kidding..? That was violent, dude. And I thought Sirens were all peaceful!!" Moon said worried. "I loved that!" He smiles, and gives the second sailor to Sun. Sun declined, and gave it to Moon. "I have my own~" he rips another big chunk out of the human. Blood continued to pour into the water, dying it red. Moon decided to take a bite of his human, and his eyes widen to the taste. "Wow! That is really good!!" He said, mouth full. He swallows, and takes another chunk. Sun chuckled, and the two continued to eat their food. After they were done, there was nothing but bones left, and Moon was gnawing on the femur of the human he devoured.

"Haha, do you like bones or something?" Sun chuckles. Moon quickly nods, and breaks the bone in two with his bare teeth. Sun's eyes widen in shock, and he backs up a little. "Oh, sorry. Did that spook you..?" Moon stopped chewing on the bone, and looks up at Sun. Sun nods a little. "How strong is your jaw?" Sun swims over to him, and touches his jawline, gently. His fingers barely brushing against his jaw. "We Sharks need strong jaws to tear through flesh and bones, cause we normally eat fish, not humans. Fish bones can be pretty tough."

Moon puts his hand on Sun's, and leans into Sun's touch. Sun blushed and then caressed Moon's cheek, gently. "Interesting. You like that, huh?" Sun asked, and Moon nodded. "Shall we continue swimming to Sirens Peek then?" Moon asked, and huddled close to Sun. Sun chuckled, "Sure. Let's go~."

And with that being said, the two swam out from the deep cave, and resumed their journey to Sirens Peek.
