Iseul brought me to a large, and spacious room with different sections for hair and makeup. Jungwon and Sunoo are in the back by the hair stylists getting their hair washed. "Isn't it nice here," Iseul exclaims "The school that I studied at for makeup was awful, well anything would seem awful compared to this," she says, eyes beaming as she looks around the room as if it's her first time seeing it.
I giggle at her excitement. She leads me to a more secluded section of the room. "This is where the staff rest when they aren't needed," she hums. "And, this," she turns to the right "Is the snack bar. It has all sorts of things." I looked at where she mentioned, there were chips, fruits, water, and a fridge on the counter with an assortment of drinks, other than water.
I turn my head when I hear the door open. The boys walk in all talking to each other and laughing. I smile to myself, happy that Sunghoon is happy. "Oooh, do you like any of the Enhypen members?" She questions quietly, her voice almost squeaking.
"Huh, no," I laugh. "Sunghoon is my friend, I'm just happy that he's having a good time and made good friends," I say.
"But, do you find any of them attractive?" She squeals.
"You sound like my mom," I laugh.
"You can tell me I won't tell anyone, I promise," Iseul begs, with puppy dog eyes.
"How do you do that?" I question jokingly as I look away from her eyes.
"I learned from Jake," she laughs, a warm smile spreads across her face. I wiggle my eyebrows and we both bust out laughing which, earns us some looks. "I better go and help before I get yelled at," Iseul laughs once more. "Let's talk more later."I watch as she walks up to an older staff member.
Not knowing what to do I start to walk up to Sunghoon when a familiar cat-like boy walks up to me, his face radiating warmth. "Hi, (Y/N)," he says his smile wide.
"Hi, Jungwon," I say. while I respond to him Niki walks into the room, he glances at Jungwon and me, his eyebrows scrunch downwards when our eyes meet. I internally roll my eyes now focusing on Jungwon.
"Are you here to help get us ready?" Jungwon asks jokingly.
"I'm not sure what I'm here for," I pause, "Heeseung said that the head manager wanted to see me."
"Oh, you mean Mr. Baek-Hyeon?"
"Yeah, I met him when I got into the building then, he got a phone call and left."
"He has to go to an important meeting with a reporter, and it couldn't be rescheduled," Jungwon explains. "Now you get a free day to see what we do," Jungwon jokes hitting his shoulder gently into mine. We both giggle when we hear a coughing sound I turn around to see Niki clearing his throat.
"What's up?" Jungwon asks the younger boy, a bit annoyed.
Niki scoffs, "I was just wondering what she was doing here, I heard that Mr. Baek-Hyeon had to go."
"She is a manager to the public Niki, she needs to know what goes in in the HYBE building and, what we do," Jungwon scolds Niki. Niki looks as though he wants to say more. I shift my weight to my left foot, uncomfortable that the boys are arguing in front of me, about me. It gets awkward fast.
A voice from one of the staff breaks up the argument with Niki going over to get his hair done. "I'm sorry about his behavior," Jungwon says glaring at the younger boy's head.
"It's okay I heard Niki has gone through a lot as a trainee and as an idol," I say thoughtfully. "I also would be suspicious of myself if I were in his situation," I reassure Jungwon. Jungwon frowns at my response.
"I should probably go over there too so we don't get behind schedule." Jungwon says as he leaves.
"Hey (Y/N)," I hear Iseul's voice from across the room I look at where her voice came from. I see her waving at me to come over. "I need some help," Iseul whines "I have to work on heeseung and Sunghoon can you help me with Niki."
Of course, she needs help with Niki of all people. "Are you sure I can be of help?" I question. hoping she will rethink what she is asking of me.
"Girl, I can see your makeup, you are more than qualified to help me," Iseul states sassily. I grumble but take a moment to look over what she has done so far with Niki. "We are going for an everyday look, nothing too crazy."
"Okay, I got it boss Iseul," I joke. Iseul laughs and looks at me then looks down at Niki sitting in the chair, she looks back up at me and smirks. I roll my eyes at her and shoo her away. I turned my attention to Niki to see him looking at me he wasn't glaring at me nor furrowing his brows, he was observing my face and listening to my instructions. His eyes moved from one of my eyes to the other, keeping eye contact.
My stomach dives down, and I feel dizzy. I swallow to get rid of the feeling. That was scary, I say in my head. "Move your head to the side," I say while I gently guide his head in the direction I want. Now all I have left is some touch-ups on his eyes. "Okay, look forward," I say while I lean in to get a better look at his eyes.
"Are you almost done," Niki asks, his voice husky, and his breath hits my face gently.
"Almost," I say as I back up to get a better view of what I've done. And to hide the fact that my stomach was doing flips and my heart was racing. Anyone would have the same reaction, I reassure myself. It doesn't help that Niki is compliant with what I'm saying and not arguing with me, I kind of miss it.
"Okay, done," I say excitedly. Niki doesn't say anything, he checks what I have done then pulls out his phone to pass the time, now that he is done with everything. I walk up to Iseul to watch her work on Heesueng. Iseul when she is focused looks so serious. Something catches my eye, I turn my head to the side just in time to see Jake looking at Iseul with a cheerful smile. I laugh to myself, I'll have to tell her about what I saw later.
I go back to the break corner, pick out a snack, and scroll on my phone to pass the rest of the time.

I am so excited and nervous to work on the romantic chemistry and tension between Niki and (Y/N).
Im thinking of giving (Y/N) a proper name? What are your thoughts about it?
