Astrid and Andres have been on the move for 4 days. Heading south, all Astrid could do was follow Andres without question
Astrid- We've been going south for days! Where are we even going?!
Andres- An Island Kingdom, one I haven't been to since I was a child.
Astrid- An Island Kingdom? Never heard of it
Andres- Yeah, well that says you need to read more or know more about Arendelle. They're... Friends? Allies? One or the other.
Astrid- Do you wanna talk about your childhood now?
Andres- You're not gonna shut up about it, aren't you?
Astrid- Just making conversation
Andres- It's said but... you asked for it.
Astrid- Finally...
Andres- I can't believe I'm telling you this.
Astrid- Just tell me!
Andres- My mother was from another Realm, Jötunheim. My Father was the Prince of Arendelle from this realm, Midgard. Stuff I'll explain later... maybe.
Astrid- Okay...
Andres- a whole lot of political shit happened, my grandfather got killed and so my father took power. Years later my sisters are born, Elsa and Anna, then there was me. Our childhood was peaceful, and fun. Nothing really happened and it was just the three of us in our own little world... until it wasn't, I was going on a voyage to the Enchanted Forest, a place I'll get to later, I was with my parents... until they drowned and I was left floating on a piece of wood.
Astrid- Oh... How'd you survive
Andres- I didn't, I technically died of hypothermia, But Malachi saved me. to this day, I don't know why. Malachi manipulated me into thinking Arendelle was pillaged and my sisters were dead. I went of a murdering rampage on the people who he targeted my anger and grief against.
Astrid- Oh, wow, this is getting sad
Andres- You asked for this. I founded New Arendelle, became the Fire King, fought this tattooed guy, got my ass kicked, and survived a brutal winter. I grew suspicious of Malachi, somehow talked with my dead mother, Jötun magic probably. I almost got killed by Malachi unti Elsa and Anna saved me with another Jötun who I never really interacted with. Malachi took my powers and I slowly died... I didn't go out without a fight, he tried to burn me to a crisp but failed, so I fought him 1 on 1 to which he properly handed me my ass and I actually died. Which was until the Fire Spirit gave me it's Life Energy which brought me back to life... And I'm the Fire Spirit now... I guess.
Astrid- That is depressing but cool at the same time. Sounds like a story you read in a book
Andres- So glad you find entertainment in my trauma.
Astrid- Oh No! I didn't mean it like that!
Andres- It's fine, I'm just messing with you.
Astrid- Not cool.
Andres- So what's your schtick? Lived with your mother until she left, or died, and now you're with your dad?
Astrid- Actually... Yeah
Andres- Oh, damn... I'm sorry
Astrid- No it's fine, she was sick for a while, we were just waiting for her to pass on.
Andres- That's Awkward, I'm sorry.
Astrid- I said it's fine.
They stayed silent for a while, a mix of awkwardness and grief in the air.
Astrid- So why are we going to this place?
Andres- I planned on going alone because this is personal business, they're just an old friend there who I used to get along with
Astrid- What were they like?
Andres- She was very Kind, had a heart of gold, and also shares some trauma, she wa--
Astrid- Enough with the trauma!
Andres- What just telling you about my life.
Astrid- I've heard enough...
Andres and Astrid camped in the woods
Astrid- Okay, I'm going to head to bed, I'll see you in the morning
Andres- Yeah alright, I'll watch out for anything
Astrid went to sleep and Andres looked over the forest. Suddenly, a group of bandits emerged from the shadows, clad in dark attire that obscured their identities. Andres instinctively stepped in front of Astrid, a protective stance that didn't go unnoticed by the menacing figures.
Bandit Leader- There you are fire boy
Andres- Who the hell are you
Bandit Leader- King Hans want you alive, so I'd recommend making it easy for the rest of us, especially if you want the girl to live
Andres glanced at Astrid, concern etched on his face. Determined to protect Astrid, he tightened his grip on the hilt of his sword.
Andres- Fuck off
The bandit leader signaled to his comrades, and the confrontation escalated into a fierce melee. Andres parried the bandits' attacks, his movements a dance of precision and power. Astrid awoke, sensing the imminent danger. She saw what was happening and retreated to the edge of the clearing, hoping to find an opportunity to escape.
As Andres fought valiantly, one of the bandits managed to grab Astrid, her screams echoing through the night.
Astrid- Andres!
Andres' heart raced as he saw her struggle against the bandit's grip.
Andres- Let her go!
But before he could reach her, another bandit seized the opportunity and restrained Andres. The bandit leader approached with a wicked grin.
Bandit Leader- You got some grit you little shit.
Andres struggled against his captors, his focus torn between Astrid's peril and his own predicament. In a desperate move, Andres tried to used his fire to set the captors ablaze but instead the fire reached Astrid and she disappeared in flames
Andres- Astrid!!
Astrid disappeared, leaving the bandits in shock. Before they could react, Andres mustered the last of his strength, breaking free from their grasp. However, a swift blow to the back of his head left him disoriented and vulnerable.
As Andres crumpled to the ground, unconscious, Astrid found herself in a completely different place, completely unharmed. The forest and bandits were replaced by the dazzling lights of the Kingdom of Corona. She stumbled for a moment, disoriented, but relief washed over her as she realized she was safe.
Astrid- Where... Where the hell am I?
Back in the forest, the bandits, frustrated and confused, assessed the situation.
Bandit Leader- I can't believe it, he really burnt his own friend into ash
They tied up Andres and dragged him In the Kingdom of Corona, Astrid caught her breath and looked around, wondering how she had ended up in this place.
