Elvis' tour bus rolled out of Memphis under the cover of a moonless night. The King was heading to a string of sold-out shows across the Southern states, leaving behind a trail of echoing music and adoring fans. In his sprawling mansion, his cousin Billy Smith lounged in a velvet chair, a cigarette dangling from his lips, watching the taillights fade into the distance. Billy had been entrusted with a very important job: looking after Elvis's kids, Olivia, Rose and James, while their dad was away. Julia had accompanied her husband on the tour to give him support

The house felt eerily quiet without the usual flurry of Elvis's entourage. Billy took a deep drag and exhaled a plume of smoke. He knew that the responsibility on his shoulders was significant, but he'd always envied the rockstar lifestyle and saw this as his chance to live a little. He had grand plans for the coming weeks, and babysitting was not at the top of his list

The first few days passed without incident. Billy settled into a routine of lazily ordering the staff around and enjoying Elvis's top-shelf whiskey. The kids, mostly self-sufficient, played outside and explored the vast grounds of Graceland. Olivia, the eldest, took it upon herself to ensure her siblings didn't miss their meals or stray too far from the house

One afternoon, as the heat of the day started to give way to a gentle summer breeze, Billy's true colors began to show. He had invited some unsavory characters from his past to the mansion for a wild party. The house was alive with raucous laughter and the thump of music that seemed to shake the very foundation. The children, sensing the change in atmosphere, retreated to their rooms, but Billy didn't care. He was too busy living out his fantasy of wealth and power

Olivia, ever vigilant, tried to keep her siblings' spirits up. She told them stories of their father's legendary kindness and how he had always looked out for them. Her voice grew softer as the night grew louder, and the walls seemed to pulse with the beat of the music. Through the crack under her door, she caught glimpses of the chaos unfolding. Her heart raced as she heard the sound of breaking glass and rowdy laughter

The next day, Billy's guests had not left. The party had turned into a full-blown affair that showed no signs of slowing down. The house was littered with empty bottles and cigarette butts, and the air was thick with a mix of stale beer and cheap perfume. Olivia knew she had to do something. She gathered her siblings in the quietest corner of the house and whispered a plan. They needed to get out, to find help

Rose, the youngest, clutched her teddy bear tightly. Tears glistened in her eyes as she nodded in understanding. James had a look of determination that belied his age. They waited until the party had reached a crescendo of drunken revelry before making their move. Sneaking past the stumbling guests, they slipped out the back door and into the night

The air outside was cool and crisp, comforting to the stifling heat of the house. The stars above twinkled down at them, seemingly aware of their plight. They stuck to the shadows, avoiding the pool of light cast by the windows, and made their way to the stables. There, they found a sympathetic ear in Vester, the head of the Graceland security. His eyes widened in surprise at the sight of the kids, but he quickly composed himself

"What's going on, little ones?" he asked, his voice deep but gentle

Olivia took a deep breath, trying to hold back her tears. "It's Uncle Billy," she whispered. "He's let all these people into our home, and they're ruining everything. We can't stay here anymore. We need to get help."

Vester's expression grew serious. He knew Billy's reputation and had his suspicions, but this was more than he'd bargained for. He knelt down to the children's level. "I'll take you to a safe place," he assured them. "But first, we've got to get you out of here without anyone noticing."
