"So... he's coming over tonight?"

"Yeah. He said he wanted to sleep over for the night so I wouldn't feel lonely."

"I see..."

A few hours ago, Keori had come over to Daisy's place since she had nothing to do. The two were chatting like old times. Daisy had really enjoyed her company. "How long have you two been seeing each other? Minus the dating part." Keori had pointed out.

"About a month or two? He did confess to me before, but I said I wasn't ready."

"Hmm... I see. You two are really close, huh?"

"Yeah, we are. Some people in high school saw us as best friends for that matter."

Keori had chuckled at that. "That's... really sweet. I'm really happy that you have friends that are here for you that you were for them."

"Yeah... I owe them all everything."

"Heh, you're so modest."

Suddenly, a knock on the door was heard. Daisy had quickly apologized and stood up, heading for the door. Once she opened the door, she had smiled, seeing the blonde-haired male at the door. She had greeted Garroth and allowed him in. The blonde-haired male then took notice of the white haired meif'wa sitting at the sofa.

"Huh? Did I walk in at a bad time?" Garroth had suddenly asked. Daisy then shook her head. "No, I told her before you came here. You're fine." She had replied. Daisy had offered to take Garroth's stuff into the guest bedroom, while he waited downstairs for her. The brunette had walked up the stairs, away from the other two.

Meanwhile, Keori had turned to Garroth, waving at him. "Hi again. Garroth, right?" She had asked. Garroth had turned to Keori and nodded. "Ah, yeah. You were that girl from the other day." Keori had nodded in response. "Yep, that's me. I can tell that you're really close to Daisy." She had pointed out. Garroth had smiled, nodding. "Well, of course. I've been friends with her since high school."

"Heh, she told me. And yet, I remember you pointed out that you had the ladies swooning over you back in high school."

"Hey, that was back then! I've been in love with Daisy for over a year now. I mean, I liked another friend before but she's with someone else."

Keori had sighed softly for a moment. However, her face had turned serious as she was about to speak. "Listen, Garroth. I know I shouldn't be saying this, but... are you willing to be there for Daisy, as she was for you?"

Garroth had a surprised look on his face at first. However, he had nodded. "Of course, I will. Daisy's the sweetest person I've known. She's always been there for everyone. She deserves someone who's going to be there for her."

Keori then shook her head, as she got up from the sofa. "That's what I don't get. She once gave kindness to some people that have known her for a long time. And what does she get in return? She gets her kindness taken advantage of, and gets manipulated, and even beaten up. What if you all aren't the same behind her back?"

Garroth was taken aback by this. "Where... where is all of this coming from?" He had asked. Keori had continued to speak in the same serious tone. "I'm just saying, you know. I worry for Daisy as a friend. Even now, she's still afraid. Thanks to that situation, she's scarred for the longest time." The meif'wa had pointed out. "I just don't want her to get hurt as she was before."

Garroth still had that surprised look on his face. "K-Keori, what are you talking about? I would never hurt her like that! Not on my life!"

Keori had narrowed her eyes. "I see Daisy as a sister, you know? She told me what happened to her in high school, and she's even afraid of being with other friends, let alone a relationship. I just can't trust the fact that the friends she has wouldn't hurt her."
