The brunette had slowly woken up, as she slowly turned to the clock in her room. What time was it?

The digital clock had read 8:36am. Daisy had felt a hand hold onto hers. Or had she only realized that hours ago? She had slowly turned to her left to see Garroth sleeping on the other side of the bed. She then thought back to the hand holding onto hers.

Was Garroth holding onto her hand the entire night? She didn't even realize. Despite that, she didn't want to pull her hand away. It felt warm and comforting. However, her cheeks did grow red. She wanted to wake Garroth up. However, she didn't want to let go of his hand either. She had stared up at the ceiling, contemplating on what to do.

A few seconds later, she felt Garroth stir next to her, and she quickly turned to her left. It looked like he was waking up. His blonde hair was slightly messy, as he slowly turned to Daisy. Daisy had noticed that, and she slowly turned to him as well.

"Morning..."

Daisy heard Garroth say to her. His voice was groggy and low, since he had just woken up. "Ah, m-morning..." She had replied, looking away for a moment.

"How did you sleep?" He had asked her. "I slept alright. How about you?"

"I slept okay-" Garroth then felt his hand hold onto Daisy's. His eyes had widened once more, as he pulled his hand away once more. "Ah, sorry." He had muttered. Daisy had shook her head.

"No, no, it's fine. I don't mind. I didn't want to let go when I woke up..." Daisy had muttered with a chuckle.

She then turned her head towards the time. It was now 8:41am. "Shouldn't you get ready to go to the cafe today?" She had asked, scratching her head. Garroth then slowly shook his head.

"Kawaii Chan gave us all a day off today. Don't worry about it..."

Daisy had hummed softly, as she slowly was about to lift her head up from the pillow. Suddenly, an arm grabbed onto her own, gently pulling her down.

"Daisy... I don't want to get up yet. I'm still tired..."

"Alright, alright, I'll stay..."

Daisy then looked away for a moment. Events from yesterday came back to her head. She didn't cry, but she felt a wave of guilt.

"I... I need to apologize to her. I want to make things right with her."

Garroth had frowned slightly at that. "You mean... with Keori?" He had asked. Daisy had nodded slowly. "I feel like I'm partially the reason that you two had that argument." Garroth's heart ached at that, and he gently held onto her hand. "Daisy... Keori was just trying to protect you, I understand. And she had a right to say how she wanted to do so."

Daisy still stayed silent, as she averted her eyes away from Garroth for a few moments. "But I've known you longer than her. It's not fair for her to say something like that to you..."

"I know. And I get it." Garroth had pointed out. "But I get where she's coming from. I can tell she really cares for you."

"And that's why I want to make things right with her-"

"Daisy."

Garroth's voice was firm with Daisy. The brunette's eyes widened a little at his firm tone. "Sometimes, things like this are out of your control to fix. You don't need to fix everything, even if you didn't even do anything. You don't need to be the hero all the time. We need to take responsibility of our own actions."

Daisy had frowned, thinking about it. Sure, she did do that. But still, she couldn't help but feel that guilt. "I'm proud of you for acknowledging your own mistakes and making up for it. But this time, this isn't your mistake to deal with. None of that was your fault."

Garroth's hand went to her cheek, rubbing it with his thumb. "Just... take some time to cool off, okay? Let her realize what's going on. I'm sure she'll come around eventually. Even when I first met her, she seemed really nice."

Daisy had sighed quietly, biting her lip. "Alright... but Keori doesn't trust you from what I can tell."

"I know, and I understand. If she doesn't, that's not my problem. You don't need to fix that. We're adults now, not high schoolers."

Garroth then placed his hands on Daisy's shoulders. Her skin had tingled a little from that, since her shoulders were pretty bare. "What I care more about is your wellbeing. You're a very kind person, and you never give up on others. That's... honestly the main reason why I fell for you." The blonde male had muttered, chuckling, a blush on his face.

Daisy had felt her cheeks burn up as well. She had soon realized it, and she had quickly covered her face. Garroth had chuckled, as he slowly pulled her hands away from her face.

"You're adorable when you blush."

"Garroth, please stop..."

Daisy was already embarrassed at this point. Garroth had laughed, as he quickly kissed her nose.

"Come on, we should get up now. You can spend time with me today. We can go out, watch a movie, whatever you like."

"But don't you have to go back to your place? Laurance and Zane might worry."

"I'm sure Laurance wouldn't mind. Besides, Zane would probably be happy that I left the house for even a day, haha! Besides, I don't think the two would mind if I stayed over for another night."

"If you say so..."

The brunette had sighed, as she slowly got up. She then made her bed, before heading over to the bathroom. She had brushed her teeth before brushing her hair. She had changed into a new set of clothes for today before heading downstairs. Maybe she could cook something for Garroth to thank him for staying the night with her. She looked into the fridge to see if there was anything she could cook.

"Whatcha doing?"

Daisy had quickly turned around, seeing Garroth already downstairs, peeking behind her. Now seeing him behind her, she could tell that he was a lot taller than her than she initially thought.

"Oh, just looking for something to cook. I want to cook something for us-"

Garroth then quickly closed the fridge door, quickly shaking his head. "You're not doing that."

"Huh? Why not?"

"I thought I told you to cool off on the helping others thing. Allow me to do this for you."

"What are you going to do?"

"We're going to buy breakfast. I'll drive and I'll pay."

"Garroth, you really don't need to do that."

The blonde haired male placed a finger on top of Daisy's lips, shaking his head. He had chuckled. "But I want to. I'm not taking no for an answer. Now come on. And if you're wondering if there's anything you need to do to repay me, the answer is no."

Daisy had sighed, facepalming. "Fine..." She had muttered. Back then, she always helped others only if she was asked. And she used to take care of herself as well before the events at Starlight.

But now, she was working herself too hard more than anything, and it concerned others. Her mental health took a toll on her more than she thought. She was getting better. At least that's what she thought.

She was glad that she had Garroth to lean on when times got tough.
